Single's Inferno Season 4's Jang Theo took a break from promoting his upcoming Philippine-Korean-produced film Finding Santos and sat down with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) for this PEP Exclusives interview.
The 30-year-old South Korean model-actor was in the Philippines for a media tour to promote the Philippines-South Korea collaboration film he will be starring in soon with Filipino actors. The film is about the Filipino soldiers who participated in the Korean War in the 1950s.
Theo, who won the hearts of most of the fans of Single's Inferno 4 because of his humor and charm, admitted he was skeptical at first about the South Korean reality dating show and was not really expecting anything when he was chosen to be part of the cast.
He said he just showed his authentic self, made friends, and had fun with the other members of the cast.
Single's Inferno puts 12 single men and women on an island dubbed as "Inferno" to cohabitate, get to know each other, go on dates, and participate in games and challenges.
The ultimate goal of the participants is to escape Inferno with their chosen partner or love interest and be transferred to "Paradise," the prized island where the winning couple will be treated in luxury.
The show has been streaming on Netflix since 2021 and is now in its 4th season.
Theo shared how he felt "surreal and overwhelmed" by the love he received from his Filipino fans.
Realizing how popular he has become, he said he intends to become a role model for his fans and inspire them in a good way.
Theo, however, revealed something he did in the show that influenced some of his castmates' decisions. Confessing what he did, he said sorry to one of his close buddies in the show—Kook Dong-ho.
Find out what he did to Dong-ho in this PEP Exclusives interview.
