01:44 Given the script and you found out you're gonna work on this series

01:47 It was a bit in a friendly sense

01:51 Unexpected because obviously I never thought of myself as a cooking or chef image

01:57 So when I heard about this, I was like, oh, that's interesting

02:01 I had something I learned differently how people can be rule other than the

02:07 The previous images I had so I was I was kind of surprised but very welcoming basically

02:14 How about you? Yeah, I

02:17 would have to agree with the

02:20 unexpected but

02:22 the unexpected

02:24 Opportunities always turn out to be the most

02:27 memorable one so I think

02:30 But more than anything I was just really excited. I think

02:36 For the whole day if we're going to be asked this question, I think if there's one word, it's just the excitement was

02:42 It was really there from from pitching from the very beginning

02:47 So Oh was it did it add pressure since view Philippines teamed up with Unilever for this project and?

02:54 One it is one of their biggest for the year. So I think it was the good kind of pressure more than anything

03:00 I think it inspired me and motivated me to to make sure that

03:05 the goal was

03:07 momentum and I'm

03:09 Maganda because for me for view when you deliver to team up and then to trust the three of us to

03:16 to tell this story my legacy and baggy Malacca's young

03:20 opportunity and then not only that because I feel like you could see nothing much a showcase as a show not oh and then

03:26 Imagine that we get to represent our country in this series. Byron. It's such a it's such a huge honor for me and

03:35 again, it was such an inspiring opportunity now

03:40 Every day every shoot day. I just I had that the drive and and that motivation

03:45 yes, you know, I really I really want to be able to give my hundred percent and

03:52 Committed myself fully to to this series because

04:00 Maganda, I'm looking was a young man. I said a penal viewers not and then on top of that we have our global

04:07 audience not in a great and Korean even Indonesia

04:12 It's such a great opportunity for everybody that is that this part of this

04:16 This year. So again, I think my only feelings is just

04:29 Not much of a pressure really honestly speaking because it doesn't matter which platform or what company or what production

04:38 You're working for whatever

04:40 collaboration it is

04:44 It is work at the end of the day. It is what you do best. It is what you like to do

04:48 You love to do so. I

04:50 Think we just kind of treat it as equal whatever production is we give it our best. We work hard basically and

05:00 It's only I'm gonna quote this were you know, the phrase where it's a problem when you see it as a problem

05:07 So it's a problem once you see it as a problem

05:09 So it's the same thing as once you put pressure on it

05:12 It will be pressure, but if you don't think of it as a pressure moment, then there is no pressure is there?

05:17 So, okay. So a lot of it has to do with your mindset. So can you tell us about your rules?

05:24 So Hajun is just a simple boy

05:29 Got himself into cooking and

05:44 Tries to find love

05:47 Forgiveness towards his life and he finds out unexpectedly

05:55 throughout his adventure

05:58 With a bike escaping whatever he's he was right expect from it's a lot of meanings. Yeah, isn't it?

06:06 I know it's so hard. I just realized that it's so hard for him to explain his character because

06:10 It it he may spoil the something. Yeah, I was you know, I was like a little yes

06:16 Just personality wise. He's a

06:19 He's confident. He is true to himself. He

06:23 Tries not to hide his emotions and he's passionate with his loved ones

06:33 Could be family could be part of this if anyone did our character to me Maya

06:40 Is a common chef who works at a hotel in Jakarta, Indonesia?

06:46 Yeah, pretty much yes

06:49 Yeah

06:52 That's pretty much it and then you see her her journey and her her goals when when you watch the series what she's she's trying

06:59 to make of you know herself and the problems that she's trying to

07:02 To solve for for herself and then of course in the midst of all of that

07:07 She you know finds inspiration and in the kitchen which comes unexpectedly for her as well

07:13 In what ways were you guys able to relate your characters?

07:17 the passion towards love like I

07:20 Can relate to that because I think everyone can relate to that really?

07:26 It's not something just my character just me but when it comes to love people can be very passionate emotional

07:35 Sensitive with that sort of topic

07:37 But I think also maybe something specific I would say

07:43 You're also a simple boy. Shut up. Are you?

07:47 From you and your character, yeah, we both kind of want simple things, okay

07:55 Maya and Julia, uh

08:03 Think her being passionate than her being driven

08:05 So since the series is all about cooking if you can describe each other as a flavor, what would it be?

08:11 And why and why?

08:14 sweet flavor

08:16 Serene spicy sweet and spicy

08:21 That as well

08:25 Serene spice spicy for both of you. Okay. Well on that note

08:28 We just want to know do you guys are you guys also good in the kitchen?

08:31 Like do you guys quote I think he's better at the kitchen than really honest. They sure really and yeah

08:37 Because I've seen some of your vlogs. He also cook. Yeah, I so I think he's a much he's better

08:42 okay, it's just it's just fun to be able to play around with the ingredients and and

08:48 Later on you taste it you you get that satisfaction

08:52 And he's like a master chopper now

09:08 Since you played a lot of different roles before and you'll bagamakita. Namin with Julia this time around

09:15 Well, but I feel so blessed I say I don't know if you get enough an opportunity slated to really

09:24 Learn new things so I love that, you know with a movie that's showing now

09:29 I had to learn how to say and then for this one

09:32 I had to learn how to cook and I always love that I get to challenge myself in that way

09:36 so

09:40 You know, of course, it's it's more than

09:42 Cooking that I had to do. It's the technicalities. It's the preparation. It's the fabricating. It's the it's all of those things and

09:52 think being in a

09:54 Global project as this and then being able to work with like

09:58 Lsh and Nicholas and our director and in Korean and everybody was part of the show

10:03 I think there is a lot of firsts for me

10:06 But yeah, I mean being in the kitchen and being a chef. I think that's the first time I'm playing a chef

10:11 So for LSH you've been exploring around. So what how's your experience? We're seeing

10:18 spotted everywhere

10:22 So, how's your experience exploring the

10:24 Metro Manila or the Philippines?

10:27 it's been

10:28 Great, really other than that

10:30 I think everyone would probably agree to this but other than the horrific traffic you guys have it

10:42 when it comes to traveling in Manila, but I

10:45 realize

10:47 It really does cover up a lot of

10:50 a lot of that

10:51 big

10:53 negativity because of food and

10:55 Companionship and the people here like they're very friendly. Like I didn't feel like I was in a

11:02 such a foreign country because everyone is

11:05 There to kind of help you out. Everyone kind of gives you that helping hand. So I thought that was great

11:13 Yeah, that's fun

11:19 Good food always makes up for all the negative things in a place. Yeah, we call this
