In this episode of #CosmoChallenge, our October 2024 cover star Kaila Estrada tells us the stories behind her tattoos, her most earliest beauty memories, and her fave products.

00:00And then my dad, at first I lied about it and then eventually he couldn't do it anymore.

00:05So yeah.

00:07Hello everybody, I'm Kaila Estrada and for today's Cosmo Challenge,

00:12I'll read your messages and give you beauty advice.

00:15So let's start!

00:20Okay, the beauty hack that I just discovered.

00:24Actually, I saw it on TikTok but I swear by it now.

00:29I just tried it and it really works.

00:31What I do is, I have really oily skin and makeup doesn't really last as long on my face

00:36because it's so humid.

00:38Sometimes I sweat.

00:39So what I like to do is, in the process of building up my makeup,

00:43like after foundation, I'll spray setting spray and then I'll do powder

00:47and then I'll spray setting spray.

00:48And then once my face is completely done,

00:52I'll do another layer of setting spray and then my makeup lasts the whole day.

00:56Can I do three?

00:57Just kidding.

00:58Okay, can I do top three?

01:00Eyebrow pencil, lip liner, and lip balm.

01:04My go-to outfit?

01:06An oversized blazer, trousers, and a crop top.

01:12That's my go-to outfit.

01:14So yeah.

01:15Earliest beauty memory?

01:17Maybe when I was in high school, I didn't really wear makeup back then.

01:20And then my friend, when I was in high school, got obsessed with red lipstick.

01:26So sometimes we would show up to school with just red lipstick on and nothing else.

01:33It's not the prettiest.

01:36I don't look back on those photos with joy.

01:41My tattoos.

01:42So I have one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine tattoos now.

01:50Some of them are cute.

01:52I got them because they're cute.

01:54Some of them have a very sentimental meaning for me.

01:58So this one is 1 Corinthians 16, 14.

02:02So it's a Bible verse and it's, let everything that you do be done with love.

02:08And I feel like that resonates so well with me and with the path that I am continuously on.

02:16So yeah, it's a good reminder for me as well.

02:18And then this is Keserasera, whatever will be will be.

02:23And then this is an airplane kasi pangarap ko talaga to travel the world.

02:28And then I have a Pisces constellation here, stars.

02:33So it's stars, pero Pisces because I'm a Pisces.

02:37And then I have a wave tattoo here, which is my first tattoo ever.

02:42And I was with my mom actually when I got this.

02:45So sabay kami.

02:46She got a back piece, a dream catcher, and then I got my wave.

02:53And then I have a tattoo on my side here.

02:57It's one of the most memorable and one of the most precious tattoos I have

03:02because there's a tattoo artist from Seoul, Korea that goes by Nando Tattooer on Instagram.

03:09And I was so lucky na nung pumunta ako, I was able to get an appointment with him.

03:15So he designed it and everything.

03:17Kaya sobrang special ng tattoo nito sa akin.

03:20And then I have a lavender here just because it's cute.

03:24And then I also have a blossom tattoo on my finger.

03:29It's a sister tattoo.

03:31So we're three sisters.

03:33And then so they have bubbles and buttercup and then I have blossom here.

03:38Yeah.

03:38Favorite cartoon namin when we were kids yung Powerpuff Girls

03:41because they're also three girls.

03:43I was 19.

03:45So I was telling my mom ever since I was 16, kinukulit ko siya na I really wanted a tattoo

03:50because my mom actually has tattoos and I saw her get her tattoos done when I was young.

03:55So I really wanted to have a tattoo.

03:57And then she said, wait till you're 18.

04:00And then when I turned 18, I forgot about it.

04:03So next year na, 19, was when she decided to have her tattoo done

04:08and then sumabay ako sa kanya to get like a small wave.

04:12And then my dad naman, at first I lied about it, the small tattoo on my ankle.

04:18I didn't think he would see it.

04:19And then one day he saw it and I was like, no, no, it's just temporary.

04:22And then years later, he just realized, no, it wasn't.

04:27And then eventually wala na siya nagawa.

04:29So yeah.

04:31I really want to add more.

04:34It's really just about wear and what design.

04:39But yeah, definitely I'll be adding a lot more.

04:42Too many fashion trends I've tried that I regret.

04:46I don't know if you guys remember when a dress

04:51and then under the dress you wear jeans was a thing.

04:55That is the worst.

04:57Like that is really the worst.

04:59I don't know why I did that.

05:01And honestly, hopefully it never comes back.

05:03But yeah, that, I don't, I don't, I can't explain it.

05:07But it used to be a thing.

05:09It used to be a thing.

05:10And I really wish it doesn't come back ever.

05:13Days when I'm not feeling my best.

05:15Usually it's when I'm dehydrated that I'm not feeling my best.

05:19So I feel like drinking a lot of water, wearing a sheet mask,

05:24and also getting enough sleep, I feel like is my go-to

05:29whenever I'm not feeling my best or not looking my best.

05:33All right.
