Gary Miller Illustrator

Gary Miller has an exhibition running in the Alchemist Gallery in Dingwall from the 20th of February to the 15th of April 2025.

00:00My name's Gary Miller and I'm from Coninbridge. A few years ago I used to be a borehole driller

00:05and then decided to go back to college when I was about 27 to start looking at doing illustration

00:12and graphic design. I always liked drawing and I was just getting a bit older and I thought

00:18I was still kind of enjoying doing it as a hobby and what was I going to make it as a career so

00:23I thought if I didn't do it then I'd probably never do it so yeah just took a risk and went

00:28for it. I studied at Inverness College at UHI. The illustrations are a bit inspired by comic books

00:34and children's books illustrations. I don't know I guess I just like figuring out how to draw

00:40certain things I kind of get a bit lost on it and yeah it's just it's quite a relaxing thing to do.
