00:28describe it with the way the results have gone elsewhere, Wolves move, 5 points clear

00:32of 18th place, Ipswich after today's event, you know a vital 1 nil win here, you know

00:39at times backs to the wall in the second half, they did drop a little bit deep to defend

00:43despite having the numerical advantage, but I feel, you know, it was so tense really because

00:49of how important it is for Wolves given where they are and how the season has gone for them,

00:55so it was an imperative result and you know, I suppose all of it kind of moved around

01:02that 5 minute period in the first half I suppose didn't it?

01:05Yeah, look Bournemouth came out and they had to weather a storm didn't they for those

01:09first 15-20 minutes because it was utter bombardment, then Wolves have a great chance, Nelson Semedo

01:14hits the post, you get the sending off and you just feel at that point, 11 vs 10, this

01:19is the day now and you've got to take full advantage and thankfully they did, it should

01:23have been more comfortable but that wouldn't be Wolves, but that sending off changed the

01:28game, in terms of the sending off, did you feel it was a red?

01:30I feel, I mean we looked at it, I mean obviously we're sat amongst the Bournemouth fans and

01:34they went absolutely mental just at the fact that the foul was given, then they went even

01:38more mental when he was given a yellow card and then obviously you can imagine the reaction

01:42when he was given a red, I mean ultimately he was probably half way up his leg, his foot

01:47did hit the ball and then it knocked it up, I think it's one of those, I mean I said to

01:51you as soon as I saw him running over there, I was like oh we know what's coming here,

01:55he's off isn't he, as soon as he goes to the monitor, yeah he's done for, so I mean it

02:00goes into the footballing cliche of sin I'm given category, I don't know, I don't think

02:06I'd be particularly happy from a Wolves perspective if somebody was sent off for that kind of

02:10a tackle, I don't think it was dirty, I don't think it was meant but ultimately he's caught

02:13him high, he's caught him with the studs and so they can't have too many in play.

02:16No, so Lewis Kelly got that, they got that rescinded, I don't think they're going to

02:18get this rescinded, it was too high for me, he's got the ball and the man and in the modern

02:22day way of football that's a red card, look what they've got to do though, 11 vs 10, they've

02:26got to take advantage and they did, the ball falls to their talisman, this is why I give

02:31them a new deal, this way scores and scores and scores and scores and Mateus Cunha, if

02:36you want the ball to fall to anyone in the box, you don't want it to fall to quite a

02:39few of these at this moment in time, but you do want it to fall to, well especially not

02:43Monezzi but Mateus Cunha, my goodness, straight into the roof of the net, 1-0.

02:47Yeah, I mean it was a great finish wasn't it, you just kind of knew, I think as it fell

02:50to him in the box, you were like, oh he's going to hook that in, I mean it was poor

02:54defending from Bournemouth, I mean I think they had two chances to head it clear, two

02:57defenders missed it, it was clipped in by Nelson Samedo and he firmly slotted it into

03:01the roof of the net, a great finish but a finish that you kind of expected a player

03:05of his calibre, I mean you watch the way, I mean I don't see much of Mateus Cunha playing

03:10the flesh but the way he kind of glides across the turf, he's a beautiful, he's a beautiful

03:15ball to watch. This is why you give him a new contract and look, Santiago Bueno booked

03:20after five minutes, a red card here and you just felt this referee was going to even things

03:25up, the last thing you want is for a midfielder to have a reckless tackle just on the brink

03:29of half-time and that's exactly what João Gomes does and Vito Pereira's seen this before,

03:34he's seen what happens in the second half, which was João Gomes going to get sent off,

03:38he takes him off, he brings Jorgen Strand-Larsen on and that was a very smart change at half-time.

03:42Yeah, yeah, I mean without trying to sound too critical on the lad who played up front

03:46in the first half, he did, yeah, Manezzi, he didn't...

03:50He looked like a midfielder playing up front, didn't he?

03:52Yeah, yeah, yeah and there was a real difference when you saw Strand-Larsen coming on playing

03:56up front in that second half, he was just more of a presence there, more of a focal

04:00point and he just seemed to know what he was doing and Manezzi, you know, aside from missing

04:04one from about five yards out, which I don't know how he missed, did alright in midfield,

04:09he looked more comfortable in his position.

04:11And you know, obviously Wolves have got to adapt to the situations that they find themselves

04:15in, if they've not got fit strikers, they've not got fit strikers, but yeah, so he did

04:21pretty well, it was smart management from Vito Pereira and Strand-Larsen did make a

04:27big difference after he came on the break.

04:28Nacer Xhigua came on for his debut as well and in fact, I'm not sure how many he used

04:31today, I'll have to look, six, seven substitutions, there were plenty of them and they all contributed.

04:37Look, at the same time, you know, 1-0, so many chances to break away, so many chances

04:42on the break and they've got to finish one of those because you don't want to be hanging

04:45on, but you're right, in that second half they did defend a little bit too deep, but

04:49when they did break, they've just got to finish, don't they, finish the game off.

04:53Yeah, I mean, I watched the second half of the game against Liverpool last week and it

04:56felt like something a little bit similar to that in terms of the chances that they created

05:01and just not being able to kind of finish them off and you know, obviously we've touched

05:04on the Manetti chance, I mean, that's, you know, that should be a goal, shouldn't it?

05:08And there were other moments and there was one late on as well where Lima kind of had

05:11an effort and that was saved by Kepa, so there were other opportunities for Wolves to score.

05:15I mean, for all kind of ballness, almost for what appeared territory and for all our tenseness

05:20and kind of nervousness in the second half, I don't remember them...

05:22Weren't too many shots on Sarr's goal, were there?

05:24I don't remember Jose Sarr really having to make a save, he came out and collected a few

05:27balls...

05:28He did, he claimed quite a few good balls this afternoon.

05:29He did pretty well, yeah, and there were headers out and Wolves defended pretty well as a collective

05:34group, so I think they can be, you know, overall pretty happy with their collective efforts.

05:37And like you say, five points clear of Ipswich Town now, 12, a better goal difference by 12.

05:43You go to a better run of pictures now, these next four or five games have got a cracking

05:47chance to really put some distance between those top three.

05:49Yeah, for sure, without a doubt, Timmy.

05:51It was, you know, it felt like a tough game, I mean, you turn up here with Bournemouth,

05:57you know, sitting fifth in the league table, you know, I think they've only lost one in

05:59the last 13 games, you think they can come away from here with a point and then, you

06:04know, that would be a decent result, so to come here to get three points, it gives them

06:07a massive kind of momentum boost, it kind of, they can just keep kind of rolling on.

06:12So yeah, that's huge in the context of Wolves' season, no doubt, and you know, the important

06:18thing now is that they build on it and they don't get sucked back in.
