'We need a run now': West Brom fans on win over Oxford

Jonny Drury caught up with Albion fans after their 2-0 win over Oxford. Albion went ahead early on through Alex Mowatt but a secod goal did not come. Chances were not flowing and as the game wore on Oxford had a bit of pressure - before Albion caught them cold as John Swift made it 2-0 in the 102nd minute.

00:00Andy, you left it a bit late there, a bit too late for many people's liking, what did

00:12you make of it?

00:13Yeah it was a great finish at the end, late goal, mid goal. A little bit sort of a very

00:19slow game I thought, at times we didn't get the tempo going but you know, we got the result

00:26at the end, that's the main thing.

00:28We started off quite well and then we lost confidence a bit at the start of the second

00:32half. Very shaky end but it's a nice way to finish off it again. That's the second 90

00:41plus minute winner in this month, so it makes a change.

00:45First half, arguably probably for the first hour we had complete control, maybe didn't

00:49turn it into as many chances but did it kind of feel like a game that if we'd got a second

00:54half we might have gone on and really won it comfortably as it was, it wasn't the case.

00:58I think it's the kind of game we should have probably won by a lot more goals but at the

01:01end of the day we got the result, that's the main thing.

01:04I think we start off really well sometimes and we did today, we just lost that confidence

01:11after a while and thought it's going to be another one, another 1-0 win and scoring.

01:19I just want to talk about the strikers, Armstrong played today, Lancer off the bench, didn't

01:23get a PK but he's in and around it now. How nice is it to see options coming off the bench

01:28and just having a luxury when we didn't have that a month ago.

01:32I think with the strike force potential we'll have in a few weeks' time if Magic comes back,

01:37I think it's the best in the division if we can get them off it. Bit of a blow losing

01:42the joy today I thought, some sort of knee injury but positives are we won.

01:50It's nice to have attacking options again, the more we have the less options we can play

01:57for those that have been in the squad for a while but it is what it is.

02:01Looking ahead now, we've won today, haven't won back-to-back games since right at the

02:05start of the season, Leeds next but how important is it now just to try and get on a little

02:10bit of a run, it feels like a while since Albion have been on a positive run.

02:13It's going to be a tough game, no questions about that, they're going to be at us from

02:19the kick-off but hopefully we can, I think we've got Barney back next game so all will

02:26be good, all positives are down.

02:30Leeds will be a tough one obviously, Ellen Rhodes a tough place to play in anyway but

02:37if we can pull another one then that will be brilliant.
