Delta Plane Crash Survivor Nate Richie Says Airline's $30K Offer Not Enough

Nate Richie is one of the passengers who survived the Delta plane crash in Toronto ... and he's scoffing at the airline's $30,000 offer.

00:14And I don't know the laws.

00:16I don't know how these things work, right?

00:18So that's why I seek, you know, advice from an attorney that can advise me as I navigate

00:25this process.

00:26I have received the communication regarding the $30,000.

00:30I have forwarded it to my attorney for review to understand what it is, what it means, you

00:35know, et cetera.

00:37As far as is it fair, you know, I haven't slept in days.

00:45You know, the emotional stress, I just, I almost can't explain it.

00:53Is my mental health worth $30,000?

00:57Can you put a price tag on that?

00:58I don't, I don't have, I can't answer that as a final compensation.

01:04I don't, I couldn't see that being anywhere near for what we, I can't see me flying again.

01:14I just, you know, obviously it's really close to this major traumatic event.

01:21I can't envision me sitting on the foot on the plane for a very long time, if ever.

01:27So once they got us back to the terminal, they were giving us our information, I developed

01:32a very bad headache.

01:33My neck was hurt, my back was hurt.

01:36And so I requested to be, to seek medical attention.

01:41You know, we entrust our lives to these people, right?

01:46When you said, you buy your ticket and you sit on the plane, you're putting your lives

01:50in their hands.

01:51And, you know, they came really close Monday of taking 80 people's lives.
