How a Delta flight crash-landed and flipped over in Toronto

A Delta Airlines plane flipped over and burst into flames at the Toronto Pearson International Airport but all 80 people onboard are safe.

00:06It took off in Minneapolis and burst into flames before going belly up at the Toronto

00:10Pearson International Airport.

00:16One passenger said the plane left them hanging like bats once it flipped over.

00:20Luckily, everyone survived the crash landing.

00:23Delta said 21 passengers were transported to hospitals, but 19 were released the next

00:27day.

00:28Flight analysts say it doesn't look like the plane even attempted to flare.

00:32That's when the plane raises its nose to make for a softer landing.

00:35Experts also believe the stormy weather and strong winds may have played a part in the

00:38crash.

00:39The incident highlights wider concerns about the Federal Aviation Administration's role.

00:43On the day of the crash, the Trump administration fired hundreds of FAA staff, including people

00:48in the safety department.

00:49Investigators are still piecing together what may have caused the incident.

00:52The CRJ-900 aircraft, built by Bombardier, has been involved in more than 100 accidents

00:57since 2005, but has never had a fatal incident.
