How new Cowboys defensive coaches plan on using Micah Parsons

Yesterday at the Star, various new Cowboys coaches spoke to the media for the first time. One of them was defensive line coach Aaron Whitecotton, who talked to Bobby and the rest of the media about utilizing Micah Parsons, what he learned from Robert Saleh during his time in New York, and more.

00:18Now there was some positive things said yesterday about him.

00:23In fact, Stephen Jones had said at Senior Bowl that part of what they wanted to hear

00:28from Matt Iberflues when they interviewed him was specifically, what are your plans

00:31for Mazi?

00:32Like, how are you going to get this out of him?

00:36And so that's definitely something that's highlighted and Iberflues had mentioned yesterday

00:39and like I said, we've got a lot of audio to get through this week, but Iberflues had

00:42mentioned yesterday said he loved Mazi coming out when he was evaluating with the Bears.

00:46And so he says, I see a skill set that I think I can work with.

00:49And honestly, I think that's a skill set that Mazi has that Rod Marinelli would have really

00:53liked that Rod Marinelli would have really pushed for.

00:57And that's where Iberflues really got a lot of his ideology and a lot of his different

01:00thoughts.

01:01But Aaron Whitecott and it's clear they're going to next year.

01:04There's not going to be a whole bunch of ridiculous blitzing.

01:06Those double A gap blitzes from Zimmer, done.

01:09The extra rusher that Quinn would send, you know, occasionally, that's done.

01:12This is going to be one of the lower blitzing teams in the NFL next year.
