00:00Dengue test kits are free at health centers in Quezon City

00:03following the declaration of the dengue outbreak.

00:06While the activities against dengue are still ongoing,

00:09this is Zeph Mosonga of Radyo Pilipinas for Balitang Pambalisan.

00:15The local government of Quezon City encouraged the parents

00:19to immediately bring their children to health centers and hospitals

00:22who are experiencing symptoms of dengue.

00:25In a statement of Radyo Pilipinas,

00:27Epidemiology and Surveillance Division Chief Dr. Rolly Cruz said

00:32that the majority of those affected by dengue

00:35are between the ages of 5 and 17 years old.

00:38The QCLGU urged residents not to worry

00:42because dengue test kits are free

00:45and because the outbreak has already been declared in the city,

00:48its health centers are open every Saturday and Sunday.

00:52We urge the parents to bring their children to the nearest health center

00:58so that they can immediately see a doctor

01:03to assess if this is dengue or not.

01:09To completely eradicate dengue,

01:11the city's authorities have ordered the help

01:14of Dengue Prevention and Control.

01:16That is why the barangay is encouraging

01:20dengue control activities

01:22while the schools will form Brigada 7.

01:26The QCLGU urged residents to join

01:30the clean-up drives in the communities.

01:34Let's clean up and cooperate with the barangay.

01:37When it's time to clean up,

01:39you need to take out the garbage from the house

01:45that can cause a fire or pollute the house if it's contaminated.

01:51If there's no garbage, there's no dengue.
