Taiwan's defense ministry detected 41 Chinese planes flying near the country between Sunday and Monday. The latest incursions come after a Canadian frigate passed through the Taiwan Strait.

00:23Taiwan and sees the Strait as its territory. Beijing accused Canada of stirring up trouble

00:28and undermining regional stability. Taiwan's defense ministry responded saying that Taiwan

00:33is not part of China and that the Taiwan Strait is international waters,

00:37meaning freedom of navigation applies to vessels transiting through it.
