00:00In the run-up to the 2024 Lok Sabha election, will a Uniform Civil Code be the final rabbit

00:10that the BJP pulls out of its hat? Remember, the Sangh Parivar had three core issues which

00:16it had on its agenda right from the beginning for decades now. One was the removal of Article

00:20370 from J&K. Check. The second was the construction of a Ram Temple. Check. The third was the

00:27implementation of a Uniform Civil Code. Now, on paper, many activists are in favour of

00:33a UCC as it's called across the country, but implementing it, particularly in these highly

00:38polarised times, is proving to be far more difficult. That's why we've not really heard

00:43the Centre commit to a date or an action plan as far as Uniform Civil Code is concerned,

00:48but we have heard increasingly more and more BJP states setting up committees and talking

00:54about implementing it at the state level. However, it's much easier said than done,

00:59but it could end up being a crucial talking point ahead of the polls.
