00:00The 2024 general election will be the BJP led NDA on one hand versus the opposition's

00:09India alliance on the other. But what do both sides need to do in order to succeed? As far

00:15as the NDA is concerned, it's existed on paper now for 25 years, but you wouldn't be blamed

00:20for not really knowing that. Simply because in the last 10 years, we really hardly heard

00:24the BJP talking about the NDA. Many of the parties that they were allied with exited

00:29the grouping because of the way the BJP treated them. This time the BJP knows that as it seeks

00:34a third successive term in power at the centre, it can't take any chances. It may lose seats

00:40in certain states where it had already peaked. And so alliances and tie ups with other parties,

00:45smaller parties become important, and they'll have to learn to take them along in a much

00:49better way. But for the India alliance, it's an even bigger challenge because it's a new

00:53grouping. These are parties who have contradictory interests and, and we know that there have

00:58been difficulties in them to even reach this stage. It's remarkable one that they've been

01:02able to do so, and that they've been able to come up with a good name, a name that has

01:07clearly rattled the BJP which constantly attacks them for it. But the hard part is now, which

01:12is figuring out what their agenda will be and more importantly, seat sharing, something

01:17that's going to be done, have to be done state by state and region by region, in order

01:24for the India alliance to actually succeed and take on the BJP. 2024 just got more interesting.
