00:00I have two brothers serving in Iraq.

00:15I think it's important for people in the military to have families because it's a constant

00:20reminder to them of why they're doing what they're doing.

00:24My brothers are putting their lives on the line.

00:26Why are they doing it?

00:27I need to know.

00:29So I set off for Iraq to find the answers.

00:34Oh, I told you I'd make it.

00:37I was anxious to get started.

00:39Oh, let's go, rookie.

00:42I wanted to see life through their eyes.

00:44When do you put your sunscreen on?

00:46I never put any sunscreen on, really.

00:48I can't let people at home know we have M&Ms.

00:51It's got to make us seem worse than it really is.

00:53Yeah, it'll be a good experience.

00:55Nothing too crazy that'll get you killed.

01:00What I found was unlike anything I expected.

01:05There's three guys with rifles.

01:08My understanding grew of the tougher, uglier side of war that soldiers like my brothers

01:13know all too well.

01:14Imagine, it's like you're going into a house fully geared up.

01:17It's like the best.

01:18I think he's changed.

01:19Joe's always really afraid to argue with me or yell at me.

01:22Now whenever he gets mad, he just screams.

01:26I expect you to fight.

01:28Sometimes I'll flip through the pictures of my daughter, my wife.

01:31He's sacrificing everything because he wants to make this world a better place for her to grow up in.

01:40It's very different over there, I mean.

01:43It hurts a lot to lose a fellow soldier.

01:50My friends here are closer than almost any friends I've ever had.

01:54I'm going to come home and the one thing I'm going to want to do is hug her.

01:57And she may not let me because she won't remember who I am.

02:03These guys take you on as a brother.

02:05They care about you.

02:06Is it worth it if it costs your life?

02:08I'd give my life for America any day.
