00:06I was setting the stage of something that I really believed going into the game is that if the eagles beat the chiefs

00:11We should be talking about them as an all-time great team

00:17To my surprise and then frustration people were having that conversation

00:21I was like, that's not fair. None of you were gonna have the conversation

00:24Like none of you were thinking that it was going to be a thing before the game, but they did

00:27and why I think that's relevant is

00:30Won the season they had but also who they beat the philadelphia eagles

00:34In stopping the three p for the kansas city chiefs now, the reality is

00:40dynasties

00:41Win multiple championships. So that's what philadelphia would really need and we're going to get to that in a second

00:46But i'm just curious for you donny and then i'll go to you joe

00:49this season's eagles team

00:51Recent memory 10 20 years. How do you feel they stack up the best?

00:56And I don't even think it's particularly close at this point because you look at every position you say sometimes

01:00You get to the pinnacle. It's like boy a lot's going to change really up against it

01:07Beckton is the only one up for contract that means every single player on that offense is coming back including jalen

01:12Included saquon barkley both your wide receivers dallas goddard and whatnot

01:16Now you flip it over to the defense here. Zach bond was an instrumental part of the philadelphia eagles winning the super bowl

01:21He was absolutely sensational. They do have cap space. Let's just say they can sign him back

01:25You're also taking a look at some restricted free agents at the cornerback position

01:29Not darius slay and of course not quinon mitchell and of course not certainly

01:33Cooper dejean there and also under contract is reid blankenship and also cj gardner johnson

01:38So you don't say to yourself like boy, you can't afford everybody now

01:40Joshua was fantastic on that playoff run, but keep in mind last year the eagles tried to trade him

01:44There were no takers. They even were able to go to joshua. I'm like, hey, you don't have any takers

01:48Not only that we're going to drop your salary. You're going to prove it season

01:51He wasn't fantastic during the regular season, but really ramped it up

01:54the one guy to keep an eye on milton williams

01:56Fantastic defensive tackle almost had one of those seasons where it didn't provide the sacks that you would for like jevon hargrave

02:02Who ended up going to the 49ers, but he's going to be a hot ticket

02:04They probably can't afford him

02:05But if you're looking at the shell of this team coming back and saying, okay

02:0822 starters are going to be down three of those and 18 and maybe they keep one or two of those to make it

02:1320 out of 21 starter. That's outrageous. Williams is as big as this wall. We saw him out there

02:41I will say this I agree with both of you donny donny and kevin with the super bowl outs

02:49I probably would bet on the eagles potentially for a 3p because of the nucleus of that offense and defense

02:55Because of what's there those young guys they did it, right?

03:20I'm, just saying my ring is that is their heart and soul right now with the defense and then they brought in bond

03:27They brought in other players around them. They're not going anywhere and jaylen hurts is only gonna get better

03:37You got saquon barkley that looks like the best running back all time now coming back for another year

04:59I think the world of jalen hurts, but it is it is taking historical

05:04Greatness at the quarterback position and that's what I think is fascinating

05:08Is well, I think hurts is one of the five best quarterbacks in football

05:12Have the philadelphia eagles and have this roster

05:16Changed it up a little bit because for years people were just kind of point pick who's the best quarterback cool

05:21Got it, right and that's kind of what they were banking a lot of those super bowl picks on and yeah

05:25Maybe here and there there'd be a you know, stop it gap in the road, right?

05:28But I mean how many for the last how many years has the super bowl winner been either tom brady or patrick mahomes, right?

05:35So for philly

05:37What is so tempting about them moving forward?

05:40Is the fact that there are so many guys that you fully expect back next season?

05:45every team every year goes through some

05:48Changeover, but man like and I think that they should probably try and bring zach bond back. I don't know how it'll happen

05:55I don't know what guys are gonna cost but

05:57You know philly last year was losing guys to retirement

06:00Like it doesn't look like lane johnson's about to say peace

06:03It was like lane john better play another five years, right?

06:05Like I think that's the fascinating thing for this eagle team where maybe they don't win it next year. Maybe they're not back next year

06:16Most likely team to make a super bowl. The chiefs are number one because of the historical nature
