he was 14 years old he came all the way from Pakistan to Dubai to set up a business here
00:04
with nothing in his pocket so alhamdulillah mashallah in these all these years he's worked
00:09
really hard and we are all this is a family-run business and we've been through thick and thin
00:15
and the Dubai the chances and the things that the way offered alhamdulillah we've grown onto it and
00:22
with his blessings and with his guidance that he has achieved during his experience and his
00:28
expertise in the perfume industry you see this was a land of opportunity in those days and he
00:34
set up a small shop back in Mushrat Bazaar in the 60s and then he used to travel to India to get his
00:41
perfumery oils because in those days the UAE locals used to get all those perfumery oils from
00:47
India back then because India was the hub so used to travel back there and get the oils and sell
00:51
them here so that the locals do not have to travel back to India to get those stuff there
00:58
so that's how we started and from a small shop in the souk my brother and me when we joined hands
01:04
with my dad my dad had a good expertise in perfumes and he had a very good nose and smelling everything
01:10
so we knew exactly what were the trends that would run in this area so we got the expertise from him
01:16
my brother is the head of sales and marketing I am the creative head my father was the chairman
01:23
so all together we we used his expertise from this market in this area so basically we you can
01:30
call us the third generation and our kids are the fourth generation which are on to it we don't work
01:34
with banks or big institutions like this we are a family-owned business we work with very specific
01:39
ethics and very strict guidelines under his supervision so that's why we survived the
01:45
pandemic and we have a clientele which is based all over the world and yes during the pandemic
01:51
the sales were up and down as you know there were lockdowns all over the world but keeping in mind
01:55
that we have a clientele which reaches out to every corner of the world so yes some of the
02:00
activities were still going on but yes we survived I feel the future in Dubai is good still keeping
02:07
in mind the pandemic and everything and what's going on all over the world the way is still the
02:11
safest and the best city in the world I would say and besides it gives us the opportunity the freedom
02:17
to work the freedom to grow and this is what you don't get anywhere else in the world with the
02:21
leadership of Dubai we are blessed to have leadership like these and the the freedom to
02:28
work and expand as we like so we hope for the best for Dubai and even for us as well and we hope for
02:36
our father's blessings and we hope to be united always to get the growth that we have achieved
02:47
you
