00:50masgouf is a smoky iraqi fish that dates back to the ancient times of mesopotamia

00:56who described it as a freshwater fish touched by the fire the fish grilled next to an open fire

02:26dish is the lamb brain dish or what iraqi is called bacha you have brain yes and you have

02:32also it's basically you go inside you see there is a bread okay on the bottom of the that's

02:39comforting something yes this is a bread so you can mix the bread with the brain of the lamb

02:47and you have the lamb tongue i don't know if you like it i'm scared yes that's the tongue yes

05:58grape leaves okay vine leaves yes vine leaves and here you have the pepper okay and also tomato

06:30spices yeah i know it's amazing it's that just like it goes straight away to your mouth yeah it's

06:36very very good we as iraqis we just like we have it mostly with families on fridays this kind of

06:43a traditional yes it's where family they gather okay and just like they have this food

06:52i want to eat the outside first yeah the crunchy

06:58that's yummy so it's rice and nuts and meat

07:02and spices yes and you prefer some egg also eggs and wrapped in a little

07:13what's what they call this and wrapping pastry pastry yeah

07:25the iraqi kebab it's kind of juicy and you can just like feel the taste of meat yeah it's it's

07:33and surprisingly really light and it like breaks apart really easily yeah um i'm obsessed with this

07:42i could eat the whole plate i'm definitely more of like a meat person so you're gonna love this

07:48cuisine i mean the iraqi cuisine we're just like we fall in love with meat a lot of meat in here

07:54yeah i mean with kebab we eat it all the time okay dinner lunch sometimes for me even i have

08:02it on breakfast i think i think iraqi kebabs are not my favorite kebabs i think they've surpassed

08:10all others uh-huh yeah i mean as i said it's juicy

08:18and uh yeah delicious

08:24it's a bread it's on the bottom of the dish and then you put you put a piece of meat okay this

08:32looks like um like a like a bone and uh yeah okay it's not the shank shank like the leg yeah

08:43as an iraqi i spent my whole life eating it using my hand okay so basically you put the meat

08:50with the bread you're gonna try it with your hand

08:54yeah be iraqi corona

08:57oh it's nice that's really good it's really good this is one of my favorite dishes

09:09i mean i can eat it anytime we fall in love with food yeah in iraq so we just like really enjoy it

09:18it's a mixture of spices meat being cooked in different ways yeah rice

09:27well yes successfully made me fall in love with your food yes so you saw by the end of

09:37our meals we should try the iraqi tea okay it's a heavy tea and we have it

09:45it's either just like it will digest the food that you've been eating careful it's really hot
