00:40Gujarat, second loss for Gujarat, we didn't see that coming. What went wrong for Gujarat? Or where did it go wrong?

00:48I think it started with a toss because it was not an easy wicket to bat on.

00:56I think Pandya took a brave decision to try out how they set the target basically.

01:03And again, Shyam, it's one way to look at it, that way. But the second one is, Punjab has been very inconsistent.

01:12One match they play exceedingly well and the other one they do very badly.

01:17So I think it was also one of those days where they did exceedingly well.

01:20So both coincided with each other and made sure that Gujarat suffered their second loss.

01:27I think nothing to take credit away from Punjab but Gujarat had a completely off day because 150 could have been...

01:36They could have restricted Punjab or they could have tried it better.

01:43But I think the initial couple of overs they gave away runs in plenty and then they didn't bowl in the right areas.

01:48Anmol, it must have been a bad day for Gujarat but Punjab didn't put a foot wrong. Everything went right for them. Tell us all about it.

01:59Yeah, everything was spot on. After that run-out of Shubhankar, I was pretty impressed with Rishi Dhawan.

04:03both as a batting and the bowling unit. So I think it's a best game for them to forget it and then move on.

04:10They actually played like the debutants, which we expected them to do.

04:16They were too deformed today.

04:18Okay, coming back to Anmol. Anmol, again, today you had Sanghwan playing and you had Yash Dayal fit.

04:29But you have an embarrassment of riches there. I mean, two good players, two youngsters, two domestic players turning up.

04:34Rahul Sanghwan today. But more importantly, Sandeep Sharma bowled an excellent spell today.

04:41First three overs was very good and finally, he ended up with four overs, 17 runs.

04:45I think that played a crucial part in actually stemming the flow of runs, isn't it?

04:52Punjab Kings have various hand heroes in their team. I must say that Sandeep Sharma with four

04:59overs and 17 runs. Yeah, wickets, not always wickets matter the most as in case of Harshdeep also.

05:06He is executing a match after match. Every match, he is giving Punjab Kings a crucial

05:13moment to take the win. But unfortunately, they are not executing

05:18some of their plans or some of their phases.

05:22See, I was saying that Gujarat Titans, they had Rahul Sanghwan and Yash Dayal.

05:28Today, Rishi Dhawan did a good turn for the Punjab, isn't it?

06:15Syed Sudarshan. I mean, he is not just today. I mean, throughout this tournament,

06:20he has been coming up with several good knocks. Satish, he is from Tamil Nadu. He is 20 years old.

06:25He scored 64 from 50 balls today. And that was the mainstay of the Gujarat innings.

06:32Tell us more about Syed Sudarshan.

06:36Shyam, I have not seen him much. But what I have heard is, he is a very good batter and

06:42his temperament is good. But he showed that also here today. If you look at,

06:48he didn't go for a shot initially. And when the wickets were falling at the other end,

06:51he was holding firm. And to be honest, after 42 deliveries, there was not a single boundary

06:59scored. And here comes this man who starts scoring four boundaries and giving the innings

07:07the momentum. It was an exceptionally good knock and that should help him in good state.

07:13And it would have given him the confidence to take or play more knocks like this in the future.

07:19Anmol, the more I see about Rajapaksa playing, I get the feeling Punjab has made a mistake by

07:26dropping him in some of the matches, isn't it?

07:28Yeah. They went with a completely blundered dropping Rajapaksa. Because he was in form

07:36and you can't drop an in-form player in place of a reputation player. As you can see,

07:42that Bairstro is not performing really well according to his reputation. And Bhanuka Rajapaksa

07:50is pretty much doing well for Punjab. And at number three, he is solving the problem for

07:56middle order also. Satish, coming to Rashid Khan, he was pretty toothless today. But he was

08:04economical as usual. He had four overs, 21 runs, but no wickets. Wickets from Rashid Khan is

08:11crucial for Gujarat or any team for that matter, whichever team he plays. Even for Hyderabad last

08:18year, he's been a wicket-taker. We have not seen too many wickets from him this year. So is this

08:24case with Ravi Vishwanath for Lucknow. These are primarily googly bowlers more than leg spinners,

08:31but they have not been getting wickets. What is happening there?

08:35Shyam, I think if you look at even the last game, Umran Malik didn't get wickets.

08:44The key is, if you don't give wickets to these bowlers, they will start trying.

08:48Because they wanted the wickets. They wanted the wickets to get their confidence and then

08:53they wanted to get the new batter out, because that will give them the advantage. But when they

08:59don't get the wickets, they have to try something new. I think there is a clear

09:05plan not to give wickets to Rashid Khan, so that you get singles, twos off him and then negate him.

09:12And then obviously one bad ball or one bad over, you can capitalize on it and then target the

09:17other bowlers. That's one aspect of it. But today, unfortunately, by the time Rashid Khan came in,

09:23I think Punjab were already with a brilliant start.

09:45Go for his wickets and he has to try something new. But the batters can always defend with no

09:52filters around. Maybe the other option could have been, they could have attacked more. Maybe

09:56they would have given a more slip or a short leg or something different. But that was not the case.

10:00So, you can't expect the bowler to get a wicket when there's not much runs to defend.

10:07Because the pressure is not there.

10:09Absolutely. Today has been a completely different game for Gujarat. I mean,

10:14like, they were completely outplayed. It was almost a drubbing, really.

10:18Now, coming back to Punjab again. Anmol, you guys must be really,

10:26really happy with Shigar Dhawan's performance. He's been very, very consistent this season, right?

10:31Yeah, he's consistent from last four or five seasons. He's delivered 400 plus runs with a

10:37very good strike rate of 120 plus. I'm very happy that he's performing for Delhi and

10:45he's performing again for Punjab. He's making the crucial runs for them. And I heard him

10:52said that whenever he gets the 40 plus run in pre-matches and Punjab won all the pre-matches.

10:58And this was the fourth one. And I'm very happy because he's giving us a start

11:04that we wanted in the powerplay.

12:32is. So anyway, as you guessed, I would go with Chennai because the way they played their last

12:40game and with Dhoni back. One thing is, as Aniz Bhai would have said, tell them not to touch

13:08I'll also pick CSK because as of a personal reason, as an Indian fan also, but as a Punjabi

13:13fan because we are above RCD and I don't want RCD to overtake us. And Dhoni coming as

13:21captain again for CSK, that will be a major reason that many of them will want CSK to win tomorrow.

13:27But Anmol, if CSK keep winning, they will go ahead of Punjab anyway.

13:47a sentimental connection to Bangalore. So I'm going to pick Royal Challengers to beat Chennai
