00:10already hit the jackpot.

00:13One won a second-tier prize to help finish constructing her dream house, and the other

00:17received a generous donation for her charity project.

00:22Helen Kapulong Simbulan was one of the 10 lucky UAE residents who shared the one-million

00:27dirhams second-tier prize early this month.

00:30They matched five out of six numbers in Emirates Lotto's eighth draw and each got 100,000 dirhams.

00:36I'm so happy that I win in Emirates Lotto.

00:45It will change my life so I can finish my home and I can help all my family.

00:53Another winner in her own right is Febby Cacero Bagisa de la Peña.

00:57She did not buy an Emirates Lotto ticket, but she received a handsome prize because

01:02of her charity work.

01:03A longtime Dubai resident, Febby is hailed as a local hero for giving free meals during

01:08the pandemic.

01:09Although unemployed and with only meager resources, Febby, with help from family, friends, and

01:14generous individuals, has served over 7,000 hot meals to expats of various nationalities

01:20since Eid.

01:22On June 13, in recognition of her charity work and as part of the celebration of the

01:27Philippine Independence Day, she received a donation from Emirates Lotto equivalent

01:31to 10,000 meals.

01:33I'm so happy that Emirates Lotto is really extending their help, their blessings to all

01:39the people who need it most.

01:42They're giving 10,000 free meals, can you imagine, 10,000 free meals.

01:47It's like extending my project for 25 days.

01:49We're in the business of changing lives and we're really excited about the fact that we

01:53found Febby and being able to help her with 10,000 meals.

01:59We were inspired by her actions and what she was doing for the community and after discussions

02:08with her.

02:10She was not only feeding Filipinos but also Pakistanis, Bangladeshis, some Africans, so

02:20it's really kind of an outreach program to the entire community.
