00:33time we experimented with something I think it's freaking cool and I'm up for

00:36doing so much more but there's only that much you can accommodate let's say in

00:40one year right yeah because it's like shooting three and a half films

00:43altogether so there's a lot of commitment now Mirzapur 2 is happening

00:47so I really it's gonna take a lot of energy there so the rest of the time

00:53where we've kind of filled up with a couple of films

01:01I finally did an ad two ads I did in in one month that was a big event for me

01:06because for the longest time I was this thing ki nahi mujhe you know I will not

01:11sell something and then eventually you realize even in a movie you're basically

01:15just selling everything it's you know at some point you're not selling a such a

01:20crude word but you're putting something out there there are corporates involved

01:24there are people involved there's money involved it is your break you're trying

01:28to break the fourth wall with all your artistic stuff but at the end of the day

01:31it's a screen people are watching you on right

01:36you know it's just something you're

01:40this is a subtle headline happening he sold his soul the downfall I mean yeah

01:59on all seriousness I think my earlier films so many of them have been because

02:03I was on my own in Bombay I I funded my last year of college on my own I studied

02:09on my own I told my dad at the time I remember I said stop sending me money

02:14because whatever reasons and and then I was paying rent and then you know so

02:19there were films that I regret doing because at the time I just I thought at

02:25least I'm getting a lead part and it's a good but I'm gonna do it but you knew it

02:30you went with it yeah but the thing is I yeah eyes open but I did it with full

02:34convection it's just that you know those things and I think everybody has a

02:38regrets yeah I think people die when they say I don't have a good you know I

02:47don't know like I okay I'm generally a very private guy I don't when people ask

02:52what are your plans in your personal relationship and what are you doing for

02:56Valentine's and I said why I don't want to talk about that no but I mean I'm

03:04just saying that's a very obnoxious thing you know I don't know yeah but I'm

03:16happy I think it's it's really interesting we in fact hid it for a long

03:19time for a long time I think I finally we broke out when my Venice premiere was

03:26happening and I said I said listen screw it now we're done like I need you here

03:30because that's more important to me then you know hiding this and just being

03:39actually I think they should there are a lot of people I know who have been

03:44approached and it's it's crazy I mean they've been grabbed straight like in

03:49fact with men it's bit it's it's I mean there's no comparison there's never a

03:55comparison and I think somewhere that's why I've also been there and yet not

04:00there like I've been retweeting like you said or liking because I am following it

04:04and I support this but it's also a thin line you need to know what you're

04:08talking about or don't because as a man you're already on the other side and

04:13then you know you feel it you know what's happening and then you come out

04:17and say some because you want to feel cool about it that that's not cool so I

04:22don't want to just go out there and be Gyani I think a lot it's it's time for a

04:26lot of women who have suffered and they're coming out and I think that

04:31needs to just be sort of you know helped and sort of put out there

04:37But you don't want to be this warrior kind of thing

04:39Because a lot of people say that I only work with producers or rather my production house won't associate

04:44You have to take a stand there as well yes somewhere behind the lines we all are like I know

04:49Richa and me are very strong about certain things I mean you know in our

04:53contracts and our whatever but these are things I don't want to discuss on in the

04:56public like I'm also kind of guy who probably does his charity work sometimes

05:01here and there but I can't say it on screen

05:05It beats the purpose

05:07Like I've fed five kids

05:09I can't I don't know how

05:11It's a brand building

05:13It's great and I admire people who do that

05:15Because you need the reach you need people to know so that they can also help

05:19It's just my bad side I should work on that but but yes men is the

05:26interesting thing you said yeah they do there's a lot

05:29But you have not been propositioned in any way

05:31You don't have a Godfather

05:33When you're not from a family then they tend to see you as a vulnerable person and perhaps demand

05:37But also the flip also actually I think I came from theatre and so you know we

05:42already knew like the ground basic everybody in the circle and also I'm

05:47from Lucknow

05:50So you know you can't do that

05:56Even if you do that I'll stab you in the eye

05:59We are more we are the forward type people but at that point you can't tell

06:05you know the strongest of men get screwed

06:07It's predatory behaviour

06:09It has nothing to do with physical might

06:11So I honestly I don't know what I would have done if I was propositioned but I and

06:17it gives me shivers to think that so many people I know including men who have been
