I'm proud to be the first Emirati action fighter in the movies.
00:04
I'm playing as a jujitsu player.
00:06
That's what I do in real life, not just an act.
00:14
Hi, it's Ali Al Shouk from Gulf News.
00:16
Today we have a special guest with us in Gulf News, Mr. Adel Al Hillawi.
00:21
He is the first Emirati action actor, actually.
00:25
He will be acting in an action movie.
00:27
It's the first Emirati action movie, which is going to be launched in October in cinemas.
00:32
Why did you choose the action movie?
00:33
I think that part of action or that kind of drama is not in our cinema.
00:38
I mean, I'm talking about the Gulf, GCC and Emirati movie.
00:43
They are not that part, which is related to the fighting scenes in the cinema.
00:48
So from that perspective, I prefer to go for that kind of movie.
00:53
Can you tell us more about the action movie, The Unbeatable Fighter?
00:58
It's the first ever Emirati action movie talking about martial arts.
01:02
This is a very nice movie and a very attractive movie for the Emirati cinemas.
01:06
So it will be launched on the 3rd of October.
01:08
That movie contains many things, like romance part, black comedy and the real fighting.
01:16
The movie contains real fighting.
01:19
I'm playing as a jujitsu player.
01:22
That's what I do in real life, not just an act.
01:25
What's your feeling as the first Emirati action actor?
01:29
I am proud to be the first Emirati action fighter in the movies.
01:34
I feel myself I'm lucky, because honestly, there's a lot of good players in jujitsu also.
01:39
My first shot, I wasn't nervous, because that's what I really do in the jujitsu.
01:46
That's my daily doing.
01:48
But my hardest part was to talk, to change my shape as an evil one.
01:55
That's the hardest one.
01:56
What's the impression you received from people when you told them that you're going to act in an action movie?
02:02
All the people are surprised about how the Emirati movie will look like.
02:06
When I go to those people, I mean the fighters, because we have fighters from everywhere.
02:12
Most of the parts of the world, like Russia and Japanese.
02:16
And they were saying, are you going to fight with us in Kandora?
02:21
I said, no, no, come on.
02:24
What's the challenge you had with the director of making a proper villain act in this movie?
02:31
It really was tough, you know, to change your character to a villain.
02:36
I put all my power in the training, in the fighting, real fighting.
02:41
But in the normal life, trust me, I'm a good person.
02:44
But to change that character, that was really difficult.
02:47
Do you have any certain message you want to say to the viewers
02:51
and the people who are going to attend and watch the movie?
02:53
One of the movie messages is related to the sportsmanship.
02:58
Actually, that kind of conduct, I realized that somebody is,
03:03
when he becomes very good in that skill and martial arts skills, he misuses that skill.
03:11
In our movie, we speak about this.
03:13
Even if you are good in that martial arts or in that skills, you have to control yourself.
03:18
You have to show the sportsmanship.
03:21
It's nothing like you take revenge.
03:23
You use all your power to take, you know, to be a glory.
03:27
No, it's nothing like that.
03:28
What's the message from the movie?
03:29
This is the main message, actually, to be honest with you.
03:31
How long did it take you to record the whole movie?
03:34
We worked hard for one and a half years to produce this movie.
03:40
We have more than 23 nationalities in different parts of the world.
03:46
And the actors also, we have many actors.
03:48
We have real fighters in many kinds of martial arts.
03:52
We recorded this whole movie in Abu Dhabi.
03:55
The unbeatable fighting is waiting for you guys in the cinema.
04:10
