00:00Ras Al Khaimah and Al Marjan Island ushered in the new year by setting history with a

00:11spectacular firework display that clinched the Guinness World Records for the largest

00:16aerial firework show.

00:18Powered by 1090 tonnes of fireworks creating colourful canopies spanning on an area of

00:24one kilometre, making it one of the brightest spots on earth, 390 comet stars of size 100mm

00:31bringing live festive white, red, green canopy to reflect the colours of UAE flag.

00:38The New Year's Eve extravaganza was attended by hundreds and thousands of visitors, including

00:43a sizeable number of international tourists, placing Ras Al Khaimah on the global map of

00:48compelling New Year's Eve celebrations.

00:55We came to Dubai to see the fireworks and celebrate New Year's.

00:59It was amazing to see the fireworks celebration across the islands and on top of the water

01:07pastoral here.

01:08So, truly amazing.

01:09So, to be part of the world's record for our Guinness books was truly amazing, so it was

01:13a lot of fun.

01:14The experience I had today is worth remembering for a long time.

01:17Of course being a part of the record making and of course achieving the record here in

01:24Ras Al Khaimah, UAE, it was truly amazing.

01:27The fireworks around the island and the fireworks on top of this hotel, they spoke a lot about

01:34themselves and truly enjoyed it.

01:36Designed by Phil Grucci, the CEO and Creative Director of Fireworks by Grucci, the Al Marjan

01:42Island was lit up with the support of key governmental entities of Ras Al Khaimah.

01:47The event was verified by an official adjudicator from Guinness World Records and the bid for

01:52the largest aerial fireworks shell was officially recognized.

01:57The award was presented to Engineer Abdullah Al Abdulli, Managing Director of Al Marjan

02:02Island, and Phil Grucci, CEO and Creative Director of Fireworks by Grucci.

02:08This is our tribute to the leadership of Ras Al Khaimah and the UAE for their vision and

02:14guidance that makes us one of the best nations in the world.

02:21The event today had added value to the pride of Ras Al Khaimah and UAE and we will be in

02:31the global spotlight with such a spectacular show.
