00:00When people hear us playing for the first time there's obviously a big smile and then the first
00:15question they always have is are those actually vegetables? They assume that we've maybe put a
00:20trumpet mouthpiece or a clarinet or saxophone mouthpiece in and they're really surprised to
00:26find out everything is 100% vegetable or fruit if you want to be really picky about it.
00:42We saw it advertised and laughed because we saw the bandstand advert and wondered what the hell it
00:48was and then we were sitting minding our own business having up our drink and then suddenly
00:54this guy took a carrot out and started playing and we both looked and thought who is he what is he doing
01:05You can go into a small hole and it stays still. It has to be relatively thin
01:10I'll do it gradually in case the carrot splits
01:12And then he came over and said hello to us and we presented him with a carrot recorder which we've
01:24made specially for him and we were told don't ask him to play it so we said would you like to play it
01:32and bless him he did and he gave it a good go and carried on playing it so we joined in and we worked
01:37out which harmonies we needed to do to play twinkle twinkle little star you know so that everybody
01:42knows and he had a big smile on his face took his carrot with him and yeah a good time was had by all
