00:11The United States dismissed as absurd North Korea's accusation that President Donald Trump

00:17has declared war against the regime, after Pyongyang said it was ready to defend itself

00:22by shooting down American bombers.

00:25According to reporters outside his New York hotel, Foreign Minister Ri Yong-ho responded

00:30to Trump tweeting at the weekend that North Korea's leadership won't be around much longer

00:35if it keeps up its threats.

00:37Ri, who attended this year's UN General Assembly session, said the international community

00:43had hoped that a war of words would not turn into real actions.

00:48UN Secretary-General António Guterres has expressed concern about the potentially destabilizing

00:54effects of a referendum held by Kurds on independence from Iraq.

00:59The referendum was proceeding peacefully but there were fears of potential unrest especially

01:04after lawmakers in Baghdad demanded that troops be sent to disputed areas where voting was

01:10taking place.

01:12The US warned the Kurdistan referendum will increase instability in the region.

01:18Alexandre Lacazette came to the rescue for Arsenal as they overcame a determined West

01:23Bromwich Albion 2-0 at Emirates Stadium.
