00:11U.S. police made numerous arrests during a tense nighttime standoff in Ferguson after

00:16St. Louis County declared a state of emergency and a teenager was charged with shooting at

00:21police officers.

00:23The protests came after unrest and a shootout in Ferguson on Sunday night that led county

00:28officials to declare a state of emergency on Monday. St. Louis County Executive Steve

00:33Stenger said police would immediately take charge of emergency management in Ferguson

00:38and surrounding districts.

00:40A power plant operator in southern Japan's Sendai restarted a nuclear reactor today,

00:45the first to begin operating under new safety requirements following the Fukushima disaster.

00:51The restart marks Japan's return to nuclear energy four and a half years after the 2011

00:57meltdowns at the Fukushima nuclear power plant in the northeast following an earthquake

01:02and tsunami.

01:03In sport, Jaya Tours scored twice in the first half last night as Manchester City began their

01:09English Premier League campaign with an impressive 3-0 win over West Bromwich, Algiers. The fluid

01:22Howard Stern has revealed details about the secret wedding between Jennifer Aniston and

01:26Justin Theroux, including that Jimmy Kimmel officiated. Stern was a guest at the Los Angeles
