00:00Some of the biggest names in Bollywood were in Dubai last night to attend the premiere

00:17of their latest film, Happy New Year.

00:21The event was the hottest ticket in town, attracting both celebrities and local elite,

00:25all eager to be the first to see the film.

00:30The all-star cast, including the likes of Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and Abhishek

00:34Bachchan, were in top form on the red carpet event before the screening of the movie, stopping

00:39to meet and take some selfies with their adoring fans.

00:42For the shooting of Happy New Year, we were here for a month and the warmth, the hospitality,

00:48the people, the kind of things that you can do here and I've always said this, I keep

00:52coming back here for work, but I really hope that I find the time to just come here and

00:56enjoy what Dubai has to offer, but I think what is important is the love and appreciation

01:01from the audience.

01:02I think that's the only reason we make the movies that we do.

01:44Actually, all this is, I don't want to undermine the beauty of the premiere at Atlantis and

01:50all of you here, people here to watch the film, all the sponsors and everyone, but to

01:54me the big night is when the film comes out and these are peripherals.

01:58I enjoy the peripherals, it's nice to wear a black suit and walk on the red carpet, but

02:01beyond that I think what matters to me most is the film that we've made and hopefully

02:06it'll make everyone very happy.

02:07Yeah, it's been a tough journey actually.

02:09The film is a very difficult film to make and if we weren't so close and if we weren't

02:12so friendly and if we weren't so warm together I think it would have taken even longer.

02:16It's a difficult film to make with big stars and to trust each other I think is the beginning

02:23of any kind of creative endeavour when a lot of people are involved in it.

02:26So I think when it's ending we all know that this film doesn't belong to us anymore, it

02:30belongs to the audience and letting go of something which has brought you so close and

02:33is so dear, it does make you really emotional, yeah.

02:37The film, which was shot at Atlantis The Palm Dubai, is a tale of six underdogs who participate

02:42in a dance competition in Dubai, but behind their loser exteriors they are armed with

02:47a plan to pull off the greatest diamond heist ever.
