00:00It's a hot and humid morning here in Dubai, but it's a good thing we're at World Wadi

00:08to try the new and improved Jumeirah Scarer.

00:11It's actually not one ride, but two.

00:13They've taken down the old Jumeirah Scarer and put in a terrifying two Jumeirah Scarers.

00:18The ride lasts about seven seconds.

00:19I'm really nervous and I don't scare easily, but let's see what we've got in store.

00:27Here we go.

00:57We're opening Jumeirah Scarer and we replaced our old Jumeirah Scarer and the major difference

01:22with the old speed slide is that you started laying down.

01:25So you laid on your back, crossed your arms, crossed your legs and then descended the 120

01:30meters to the exit.

01:31The big difference is the three, two, one drop floor entrance, where you start standing

01:35up and there's a drop floor after the countdown, which releases and you're traveling at speeds

01:41of about 80 kilometers an hour on a 70 degree angle for about 10 meters before it starts

01:46to flatten out.

01:47And then again, at the exit, there's another big drop.

01:49So that's the big difference.

01:51And instead of having one, now we have two, so you can bring a friend.

01:54We've done hundreds of test rides, incident-free, despite the screaming that you hear in the

01:59background.

02:00Listen, it's scary.

02:01It makes people nervous.

02:02But in terms of safety, we're adhering to the highest international standards with well

02:07reputable companies that design these slides and install them all over the world.

02:11It's fun.

02:12It's something you've never done before, whether you want to ride on your own and experience

02:15something different or whether or not you want to see somebody do something different,

02:18because it's a lot of fun to watch and to listen and to see the anticipation build up

02:23for people who are contemplating riding the slide.

02:34When it starts counting down, you're just there and you're like, no, I don't want it

02:36But then when it goes, it's just absolutely amazing.
