00:00An attempt to smuggle more than 130 kg of pure heroin with a street value of 65 million

00:11dirhams through Jebel Ali port has been foiled by Dubai Police's General Anti-Narcotics Department.

00:18Major General Abdul Jaleel Mahdi, director of this department, said this is the largest

00:24drug haul this year in a single operation.

00:28The drugs were hidden inside a container that arrived on a ship originating from Pakistan.

00:34The container, which held iron filings, left Pakistan on July 23 and transited through

00:41Salala port in Oman, Tangier port in Morocco and Tincan port in Nigeria before arriving

00:49in Dubai on October 8.

00:52The ship was scheduled to return to Pakistan on October 12, but a trusted source confirmed

00:58that one of the containers on the Liberian ship had a large amount of drugs.

01:03Scanning the container showed nothing suspicious because of the density of the iron filings.

01:09Even police dogs find it hard to identify suspicious material with this kind of load.

01:16The drugs were found in hollow wooden pallets.

01:20The gang has been identified and Pakistani authorities have been informed to arrest them.
