00:00Whether you feel more at home in the grand malls of Dubai or looking for a bargain around

00:11the souks, the Dubai Creek is an integral part of life for many of the city's inhabitants.

00:19Dividing the city in two, Deira and Bur Dubai, the creek is the one place in Dubai where

00:24life feels raw and real.

00:28I have been a fan of the area, going time and time again to capture traders, Abra drivers,

00:34passengers and tourists as they go about their day.

00:39As I walk about looking for the perfect picture, getting funny looks, always wishing to be

00:44invisible as to capture reality, it is difficult.

00:49The workers are too friendly, the Abra drivers want to give you the tourist ride and deal,

00:55and the traders want to sell you the latest fake purse when all you need is a glass of

00:59water.

01:00As the day comes to an end, I have the feeling that life pulsates on the banks of the creek.
