00:10In a strong show of the longstanding relations between the UAE and the United Kingdom, the

00:14town of Windsor was in a festive mood yesterday as President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin

00:18Zayed Al Nahyan began a two-day state visit to Britain.

00:22It is the first visit by a UAE president in 24 years.

00:25The highlight of the first day was a formal state banquet at Windsor Castle hosted by

00:29Queen Elizabeth.

00:30�We shall strive to develop further the long-established bilateral relations that

00:34exist between the UAE and the UK in all fields,� Sheikh Khalifa said in his speech at the banquet.

00:39On her part, the Queen paid tribute to the historic ties between the two countries and

00:43their ruling families.

00:44Today, the President will meet British Prime Minister David Cameron to discuss bilateral

00:49relations and the international developments.

00:51A number of trade agreements will be signed, according to officials.

00:54His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister

00:58of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, launched the website of the Mohammed bin Rashid City Project

01:02at Maidan Hotel last night.

01:04The sales of the project are expected to hit more than 21 billion dirhams.

01:08Sheikh Mohammed also viewed the design of the 45-million-square-foot project.

01:13Seven women in Dubai are fighting extreme poverty by challenging their bodies to live
