Jets coach on why he promoted Noah James to start in goals

00:00I went and watched him many times and when he came back I knew he'd elevated his game.

00:06He's been really patient and obviously I went with Scotty because Scotty's had a good season.

00:12There's just been a few drop-offs from Scotty at times, which happens to a lot of players.

00:16Sometimes you just need that little extra pressure from you to lift your game a little bit.

00:21I think Noah has been putting that good competition and pressure for Scotty.

00:29I think Scotty will come back and bounce back really well and Noah hopefully will keep running from this as well.

00:35It's exciting, it's good.

00:37So Noah's spot now for a little while, he'll get a run of games?

00:40Well I mean, for the goalkeeper it's tough to just chuck him straight in and take three or four games.

00:47We'll just see how he pulls up. There's a lot of work to do for a goalkeeper.

00:52He's the last man and decision making, so it's good that he's got that under his belt.

00:58Regardless of what happened today, it wasn't going to change my view on him.
