00:00Okay, so let's be real and candid.

00:02You're entering a job in television.

00:06You're gonna be in front of the cameras.

00:08And out of 8,500 people, they hired you and one other person.

00:14Okay, so you're already like, well, if you're me

00:18and you had almost no TV experience,

00:19you're like kind of freaked out and a little bewildered

00:21because you can't believe they actually hired you,

00:23but you're scared and you're bringing your daughter

00:26across the country, it's just the two of you.

00:28And there's a lot of emotions that you're processing.

00:32You meet, because I did not meet Kirsten in the audition.

00:36There was two days.

00:37I was on one day, she was on the other.

00:38So I had no idea what to expect.

00:40But I had already kind of invested a lot of sisterhood

00:43into this woman before I even met her.

00:45Because I'm like, we're going through this host bootcamp

00:47together, I'm scared.

00:50You know, what if she's just, I don't know what TV is like.

00:53Like, what if she's competitive?

00:55What if she's catty?

00:56What if she's, you know, wants nothing to do with,

00:58like, I don't know what to expect

00:59because I didn't have a history in TV.

01:01And so, you know, we all have in our head,

01:03we watch soap operas or whatever.

01:05And we're like, is it, what's it like?

01:07Well, she shows up, we actually met each other

01:10for the first time at the Westchester Chili Festival.

01:14So that's about as real as it gets, right?

01:16And she's there with her two very young daughters

01:21and her husband, and she's got like workout clothes on.

01:24Neither of us have any makeup.

01:26And we, because I guess we were texting.

01:28It's like, hey, we're at the same place.

01:30And gave each other the biggest hug.

01:32And you have those moments with people sometimes

01:36where you meet them and they either give you a feeling like,

01:40I don't know about you.

01:41And then, you know, that intuition.

01:43And then you meet people where you go,

01:45I love you and I don't even know why yet.

01:47And with Kirsten, it was this, I love you

01:50and I don't even know why yet.

01:51And not just because I really hope you're amazing

01:53and I'm like just imposing that on you.

01:56It was just this kindred spirit kind of feeling.

01:59And that never altered.

02:02It never failed.

02:03And so again, going back to, all right,

02:07you would think these two gals are starting

02:08at the same time.

02:10They have the same expectations.

02:12Is it going to be cutthroat?

02:14You know, are they both going to be like,

02:16boy, I hope I get prime time before she does.

02:19And for 13 years, all we ever did

02:23was again, as I'm saying,

02:27and it sounds like I'm being hyperbolic

02:29or I'm, but it's the absolute truth.

02:31We would lift each other up.

02:33We would celebrate each other's achievements.

02:36You know, if one of us got a really great show

02:39or got to work with a celebrity,

02:40you know, for the first time,

02:42it was like the other person was experiencing that as well.

02:45And so it was this volley of support over 13 years.

02:50And that included when she adopted her son

02:53and I finally found the love of my life.

02:55And, you know, those celebrations

02:58that we had on a personal note,

03:00we got to celebrate those together too.

03:02So if I were to count, you know,

03:04top five things I love that I'm taking away from QVC,

03:08friendship, my friendship with Kirsten

03:09is absolutely one of those.
