UK aid to support Ukrainian energy systems

New £55 million ($68 million) aid from the UK will support in rebuilding the energy systems in Ukraine, our correspondent Stuart Smith reports.  #Russia #Ukraine #UK

00:00Yeah the frequent attacks against Ukrainian energy systems are one of the

00:04biggest problems for citizens trying to endure this war in Ukraine. It's notable

00:08because especially during this time of year when it's incredibly cold it does a

00:12lot to keep people in great discomfort and so the quick repair and also

00:17improvement of energy systems in Ukraine is something that Kyiv is desperately

00:20after and this new funding is going to help towards that but notably and this

00:25is also part of David Lammy the Foreign Minister's intention here will involve

00:29investing in new types of technology new energy systems notably low carbon

00:33energy systems which he's also saying is an opportunity for UK business as well

00:37as going towards helping Ukraine
