00:00The Armed Forces of the Philippines, or AFP, deployed maritime and aerial assets to monitor

00:05three vessels from China's People's Liberation Army-Navy detected within Philippine archipelagic

00:11waters. The vessels were identified as a Renhai-class guided-missile cruiser,

00:17a Jiangkai-class frigate, and a Fuji-class replenishment oiler. They were last spotted

00:24120 nautical miles from Basilan, leaving the Philippines' exclusive economic zone,

00:30and possibly heading to Indonesia for an exercise. Since the 1st of February,

00:35these Chinese warships have been monitored transiting from the vicinity of Puyo Island

00:41in Palawan towards the Basilan Strait. One of the vessels was reported to have originated from

00:47Bajo de Masinloc. They were last observed 120 nautical miles from Basilan, exiting the Philippines'

00:54exclusive economic zone. Meanwhile, two B-1 bomber aircrafts from the U.S. Pacific Air Forces

01:01conducted flights over the West Philippine Sea as part of a joint aerial exercise with the

01:06Philippine Air Force in the vicinity of Bajo de Masinloc. The PAF deployed two F-A-50 fighter

01:13jets for the exercise, focusing on air patrol and air intercept operations. According to the PAF,

01:19they were no radio challenges encountered, nor were there any Chinese aircrafts observed

01:25during the said exercise. As for us, we are doing this training based on international

01:34rules-based order and based on protocol, so we will just continue on regardless of the action

01:39of other foreign actors.
