00:00One of the advantages of Buhol is the tourism that is related to the loneliness of the whale shark or butanding.

00:07But that has been stopped for now as per the Executive Order of the Governor of the province.

00:12Eating and even a simple swim with the gentle giants of the sea

00:18is prohibited in the towns of Lila, Albuquerque, and Dawis.

00:22Eating of the butanding has a bad effect,

00:25such as pollution and bad odors in the neighboring towns,

00:29including Panglao, which is one of the prime tourist spots of the province.

00:33The operators of the Whale Shark Interaction Activities may resume operations

00:38if they follow the ordinances.

00:41Several environmental advocates and organizations were the first to advocate for whale shark feeding and swimming,

00:47which they called Ecological Trap and Peking Ecotourism.
