00:06that includes new runners who compete in run events in different parts of the country.

00:17Following the continuous rise of running events in the country,

00:20RunRio's president and CEO, Rio de la Cruz, admitted that he was surprised by the double of runners.

00:27He said that it increased because of the run events that were held in the provinces

00:32that became a result to bring their programs closer to the locals.

00:37Running in the Philippines is really booming. I think one of the biggest in Southeast Asia.

00:43And actually this is bigger than before.

00:47The first wave of running boom in the Philippines back in 2010-2012, now it's actually doubled.

00:54Besides the participants, other run clubs in the country are also involved in running events.

01:02Through this, more new runners are joining, especially when a program is brought to the fore.

01:10Whenever we do our events, we see a lot of people doing their warm-ups.

01:17Before, they were doing their warm-ups with the general.

01:22But this time, you can see in different locations in the area, group by group, they are doing their warm-ups.

01:30So it means that our running is booming and at the same time, they are actually learning.

01:37This week, another run event will be held with the participants

01:42in the upcoming 2025 Pokemon Fun Run in the Mall of Asia Complex in Pasay City.
