00:00Budapest welcomes the Year of the Snake with a one-of-a-kind celebration, including Chinese

00:09opera, traditional arts and crafts, and one of the world's most popular Chinese online

00:15games.

00:16Half my life I've been playing League of Legends.

00:18Charlie Erickson, better known online as Kesha, is one of the world's top players of League

00:24of Legends and Wild Rift.

00:27He was invited to the celebration to meet, greet, and play alongside fans.

00:32With this game, we can promote our traditional Chinese culture, embroideries, to all over

00:44the world, especially youngsters.

00:46So that's our idea.

00:49Seng says the game's creators designed new digital costumes inspired by Sohu embroidery

00:55For the Year of the Snake, this led them to invite Sohu artisans to showcase their craft

01:01alongside Hungarian Maggio embroidery artists.

01:05It's kind of very exciting, and I think it's very, very good, like this two cultures come

01:10together, and so I hope we're going to have more like this in the future.

01:17And a chance to learn other Chinese crafts, like lantern making, sugar blowing, and kite

01:22design.

01:24Creating a cultural dialogue that bridges generations and backgrounds, that is the goal

01:30of this event.

01:31According to the China Cultural Center here in Budapest, they say they will continue to

01:37promote programs that highlight the best of Chinese and Hungarian cultures.

01:45We asked Kesha for a quick crash course in the game, and within minutes, we found ourselves

01:50on opposing teams.

01:57Facing one of the world's best players was thrilling, but it spelled disaster for my

02:07This celebration of the Chinese New Year, according to the organizers, is a reminder

02:15that traditions, whether ancient or modern, have the power to unite us all.
