00:04Hey, Scott, it's offseason in college football.

00:06Never too early to talk about the 2025 season.

00:09Thank you, FanDuel, for putting some early odds out

00:13for national championships.

00:14So let's get right to it.

00:15There's some early opportunities.

00:17Favorites, no surprise.

00:19Listen, college football is gonna be chalky

00:21for the foreseeable future.

00:23In this era of NIL transfer portal,

00:26the big boys are gonna dominate no different right now.

00:29Ohio State, the leader at plus 500.

00:32Texas, Oregon, plus 650.

00:35Georgia, plus 700.

00:37Those are the favorites.

00:38One interesting thing when you look at those four teams,

00:41Scott, is in all likelihood,

00:43you're gonna have young underclassmen

00:45quarterbacks starting over.

00:46Ohio State has Julian Sayan,

00:49a five-star transfer from Alabama.

00:51Texas, obviously the Arch Manning era

00:54ready to begin in Austin.

00:56Oregon looking to Dante Moore

00:58to replace Dylan Gabriel.

01:00And Georgia, we saw a little bit of Gunnar Stockton

01:02last year after Carson Beck got hurt.

01:04All young quarterbacks.

01:06I tend to like veteran quarterbacks.

01:08Saw that last year.

01:10Will Howard, Ohio State, wins a national championship.

01:13A lot of veteran quarterbacks dominating in the semifinals.

01:16So let's look for some early value in those odds.

01:19I'm gonna take a step back one tier

01:22and talk about Penn State.

01:23Plus 850, Drew Aller returning.

01:27That entire backfield is back.

01:28Katron Allen, Nick Singleton as well.

01:31Now, Penn State has a lot to prove, Scott.

01:34Not a huge James Franklin fan.

01:36Drew Aller struggled down the stretch.

01:38Some big mistakes in that Indy game.

01:40But veteran coach, veteran quarterback,

01:43and then just a couple of days ago,

01:44huge addition at defensive coordinator,

01:47lost Tom Allen, actually upgraded.

01:50Took Jim Knowles away from a competitor, Ohio State,

01:53one of the top defensive coordinators in the country.

01:56So Penn State is poised for a big run next season.

02:00Sense of urgency for James Franklin.

02:02So I like Penn State.

02:03Let's go a little bit deeper.

02:05A couple of other teams, a couple of blue bloods.

02:08LSU, Clemson.

02:09Clemson plus 1,800, LSU plus 2,000.

02:13Tigers in both cases.

02:15Clemson Tigers get back Cade Klubnick.

02:17Love their defense.

02:19Peter Woods should be healthy next year.

02:21For LSU, I love desperate teams.

02:24Brian Kelly is starting to feel desperate.

02:26Three seasons of at least three losses in a row.

02:30He sees Notre Dame, the team that he left and said,

02:33you know, I need to win a national championship,

02:35come within one game of a national championship.

02:38LSU has been very active in the portal.

02:40They've done a great job picking up 12 recruits so far.

02:44Garrett Nussmeyer is back.

02:45So at plus 2,000, might want to get in early on LSU.

02:49Actually, you might want to hedge

02:50because LSU and Clemson play in the opening weekend.

02:53Maybe put a little money on both of those teams.

02:55So already talking national championship.
