China’s fantasy film “The Creation of the Gods II” premiered in London

China’s epic fantasy film “The Creation of the Gods II: Demon Force” premiered in London on Thursday. Based on the 16th-century novel “Investiture of the Gods” of the Ming Dynasty, the trilogy focused on the historic period of time between the falling of the Shang Dynasty (1600 B.C. - 1046 B.C.) and the rising of the Zhou Dynasty (1046 B.C. - 256 B.C.).  The film was brought to the UK, Ireland, the Netherlands and Belgium by CMC Pictures, which has also premiered a number of Chinese movies including “The Wandering Earth” and “Ne Zha”. At least 500 viewers went for the premiere, and some of them have shared their feelings of the film with CGTN Europe.   #ChineseNewYear #YearoftheSnake #Chinesemovies

00:00I have to say I was absolutely amazed by the special effects, I loved the story, it was

00:20really fascinating and it was Hollywood style, I would say maybe better than Hollywood.

00:25It was a fantastic film, the battle scenes were epic even from the very beginning, very

00:31different to the western style of films that I'm used to. To me it felt like a mixture

00:36between Lord of the Rings mixed with the craziness of Marvel where a random character comes out

00:42of nowhere even more powerful than before, but I found that quite humorous but also very

00:46enjoyable and I like the style of the film as well.

00:49I looked up the plot of the first film so I did actually understand the context of what

00:54was happening, it almost felt like the first film almost felt a bit similar to Macbeth

01:00and I sort of followed along those sorts of storylines to see the dynamics of what was

01:05happening in this film.

01:07I think it's fabulous, the special effects have blown my mind and I think it's better

01:12than the first one because you can see three different regions like the God, Demon, Human

01:17being, all three kinds, different regions, different special effects, they have a very

01:22clear style.

01:24This movie is from China and I'm in London now so I'm really proud of I'm Chinese because

01:30we got such a wonderful movie in London and at the same time in China we are opening this

01:37movie together and so I'm really proud of myself that I'm Chinese.

01:47I think it's a very rare opportunity for the Chinese students abroad and I think it's very

01:53important to spread the Chinese culture to the world and I'm very happy to see so many

01:59Chinese people here to celebrate the Chinese New Year and enjoy this cultural event.

02:07And I think that's really warm, I'm feeling warm because I'm in another country during

02:12the Chinese New Year and I can watch the movie, the Chinese movie in London and I feel

02:17like I'm staying at home now.
