00:18Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services and it is it's off to a rough start for him

00:24We'll just say that that he has been and it's ongoing right now

00:27but it has been

00:28They are hitting him hard the Democrats clearly hitting him very hard with questions about a lot of things

00:34He has said about vaccines that he has said about

00:39particularly about the source of kovat

00:41Things about AIDS around the world. They have hit him with everything

00:45They can and it's especially personal because he of course ran for president as a Democrat comes from perhaps the most famous

00:52Democratic family of all time and now he's joined forces with Donald Trump

00:56Which is why so many Democrats are so much against him, right?

01:01So when you watch the hearing you can look for obviously his his answers

01:06But there's something else going on here

01:08Because seated right behind him is his wife Sheryl Hines

01:13And we have had RFK jr. And Sheryl on the show here

01:17And we know that her politics don't necessarily align with with his or at least they didn't so

01:23What is her reaction to some of these questions? There was one particular moment here

01:28Senator Bernie Sanders

01:30Was hitting him hard with some questions about of all things

01:34onesies

01:35You'll hear it. You're gonna hear at the sound bite why onesies came up, but also

01:42take a look at what Cheryl's reaction is at the end of this because

01:46It's interesting now you're coming before this committee and you say you're pro vaccine

01:52Just want to ask some questions and yet your organization is making money

01:57Selling a child's product

01:59to parents for 26 bucks

02:02Which has fundamental doubt on you to on the usefulness of vaccines

02:07I've had nothing to do with you supportive of these onesies. I'm supportive of vaccines

02:11Are you supportive of these this clothing which is militantly anti-vaccine? I am supportive of vaccines

02:21Want good science and I want to protect but you will not tell the organization you founded not to continue

02:40Yeah, I mean Cheryl's face says it all that was rough, but there's another part of it. That was very interesting because

02:52Yeah, when it comes to politics and so we've seen other nominees go up there and at some point

02:57They basically have to kiss the ring right and say something really glowing about President Trump who has nominated them

03:03Well, and it's not uncommon. Yeah, and we know that his big thing is make America healthy again

03:08And for years, he's crusaded against companies like McDonald's and then you think about that UFC fight

03:14And then they had they went on a flight together and Bobby Kennedy had to sit there

03:19This was like how you torture him

03:22This is his version of waterboarding sitting there with a McDonald's burger in front of him to endorse this and that was brought up as well

03:29It was here and his answer. Well, it was funny little kisses and kissing the ring

03:35I don't want to take

03:37Food away from anybody if you like a cheeseburger McDonald's cheeseburger diet coke, which my boss loves

03:46You should be able to get them if you want to eat hostess Twinkies

03:50You should be able to do that, but you should know what the impacts are on your family and on your health

03:56I mean, he sounds exactly like a politician. He's been reeling all his positions back

04:01I mean he was campaigning on it being anti-processed foods being anti-vax and now you see him saying

04:08Oh, if you want a Twinkie have a Twinkie if you want McDonald's have McDonald's Oh, and by the way, I want safe vaccines for everyone

04:15So he just sounds like a classic politician to me and definitely bending the ring the ring

04:20Like you said Charles RFK jr. Is a great lawyer

04:23That's where most of his life experience is and he was answering like a lawyer trying not to get in traps

04:30Sent by the senators and by the way, some of those positions are not necessarily in conflict with each other, right?

04:35You could be against the idea of

04:38Some of these foods you might not want to eat them yourself

04:40But that doesn't mean you necessarily believe in mandates that people shouldn't be allowed to have them. That is a consistent position

04:46Yeah, we will see how this vote goes
