00:30It is basically a pick-em minus 113 now for mississippi state minus 106 for the crimson tide there

00:41165 and a half. What do we expect tonight in stark vegas and another top 15 tilt in the sec?

00:49Look, we know alabama can score but it's kind of odd for a 165 and a half involving mississippi state

00:53Not necessarily a team that you're looking to run in gun and be an unbelievable three-point shooting team

00:58Also understand this in college athletics same thing with football. It's really hard to win on the roads

01:14stiles do make fights and this is going to be a tough game and these best bets are tough to have because

01:18You are looking at roughly a pick-em game and alabama's better, but you're on the road

01:22But some things do stick out to me in this game

01:24One thing is alabama does like to get to the free throw line. Mississippi state doesn't foul all that much

01:28So that should help mississippi state

01:30But also you have one team here in alabama, you know likes to shoot the three-point shot distribution of those three-point shots

01:35About 41 of their shots come from three-point range. Now, you take a look at mississippi state's defense, which is very good

01:41But their 14th and conference play at chasing you off the three-point line

01:44So if you just use without making the three-point shot is one team's comfortable shooting them

01:49The other team's comfortable with letting you shoot them. That should be a slight advantage there to alabama

01:53Let's flip it over to the mississippi state offense. They don't get to the free throw line and alabama doesn't foul

02:15Number one in conference play at chasing you off of the three-point line

02:19So we're going to sort of zero in and say okay alabama comfortable shooting threes

02:23They're going to be allowed to do that. Mississippi state likes it to three-point shot

02:27But alabama is like well defended and we're not going to let you shoot all that many of it

02:30So case in point for me is yes, mississippi state can go inside the arc

02:34But if you're just looking at simplistically ranking these two teams going up against each other

02:38I think alabama's matchup is better than mississippi state, but college basketball is a fickle beast as you've seen
