00:11To improve the quality of education in the country, the two important bills for the well-being of the students were approved in the third and final reading of the Chamber.
00:25This includes House Bill 11214, also known as the Private Basic Education Vouchers Assistance Act.
00:32Under this, the Expanded Government Assistance to Students and Teachers in Private Education Act, or E-GASPE, will be extended.
00:41Under this, not only the grade 7 to grade 12 private school students will be given aid vouchers,
00:48but also those in the basic education levels from kindergarten.
00:53There will also be provisions for the needs of private school teachers.
00:58Aside from this, House Bill 11213, also known as the Education Pathways Act, was approved.
01:06The target here is to amend the K-12 system so that the youth will have better job opportunities.
01:13A few more amendments were approved in the third and final reading of the Chamber regarding bullying and misbehavior of some agencies.
01:22Aside from this, the other proposed measures were also approved in the second reading.
01:27This is now House Bill 11357, which will be amended under the Universal Health Care Act.
01:34This is supported by the Department of Health, especially this is one of the priority bills of the Administration.
01:41Under the DOH, if this bill is passed, it is expected that the premium contribution rate in PhilHealth will go down,
01:48and that its beneficiaries will receive better benefits.
