00:00Now, let's get your thoughts on this Chiefs dynasty that's still running fully operational

00:07as they go to their fifth Super Bowl in six years and they'll play the Eagles again like

00:13a couple of years ago.

00:15It's amazing what they've accomplished, Scott.

00:18And I wrote an article about 10 days ago before the playoffs started about how the Chiefs

00:24were in some way chasing what the Steelers accomplished in the 70s, four Super Bowls

00:30in six years.

00:31No one's done that other than the Steelers of 74, 75, 78, 79, and now the Chiefs have

00:36a chance to match that.

00:37But they also have a chance to do what no team has done, which is win three Super Bowls.

00:42We've had the Green Bay Packers in 65, 66, and 67 won the NFL championship, which in

00:4965 there was no Super Bowl, in 66 and 67 they were able to win the first two.

00:56So it's a little different than what the Chiefs are doing now.

01:00But what's amazing about what the Chiefs are accomplishing, Scott, is that there's free

01:06agency now.

01:08There is the salary cap.

01:09You can't keep a team together.

01:11Like, can you imagine what the Steelers of the 70s would have had to pay their whole

01:15team?

01:16In today's dollars, they'd have been like a billion-dollar annual salary to try to keep

01:22those guys together.

01:23They wouldn't have been able to do it.

01:25So the Chiefs haven't been able to do it, but they've been able to continue to win.

01:30And a lot of that is Patrick Mahomes, but I don't think it's all that.

01:33I mean, Patrick Mahomes was excellent on Sunday, but he wasn't the elite, unstoppable Patrick

01:40Mahomes.

01:41But what happened was, every time the Chiefs needed to make a big stop, Spagnuolo and that

01:46defense and especially the defensive line came through.

01:51And that's what's really amazing about this group, is that even as all the personnel changes,

01:55I think there are six guys who could win their fourth Super Bowl ring as a Chief.

02:01Six guys.

02:02And that only began in 2019.

02:04So they've turned over almost their entire roster since then.
