00:00The Department of Justice is rebutting the complaint of 98 counts of reckless imprudence resulting in homicide

00:06that was filed against the former Health Secretary and now Iloilo First District Representative Janet Garin and two more.

00:13This is in line with the issue of the anti-dengue vaccine, Dengvexia.

00:17Based on the resolution passed by Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulia,

00:22it is known that the step-by-step procedure carried out by the respondents is not enough to prove that they have been infected.

00:31It is also known that any symptoms experienced by those who were infected with Dengvexia

00:37cannot be blamed for the vaccine if it happened eight days after they were vaccinated.

00:45Justice Undersecretary Raul Vazquez also explained that there is not enough evidence to prove that there is a conspiracy

00:52or that the respondents are planning to launch a campaign against them.

00:57Vazquez also said that there is an option for those who filed a complaint that is not a criminal case

01:03to be chased by the respondents for the civil damages.

01:08The Public Attorney's Office is also filing a motion for reconsideration.

01:14We decided the case based on the evidence that were present.

01:18We cannot continue the prosecution of a case where the evidence is not strong enough.
