01:19This animal existed when the Doku Cajé desert was still an ocean.

01:24Everything that was found in its stomach corresponds to sardines,

01:29which means that at that time the sea was populated by sardines and not by anchovies.

01:34About 1.5 meters long, it has a fully developed skull

01:38with sparse teeth in the correct position and a vertebral column.

01:45Cosmopolytodus astalis is what it is called

01:50and is a species of extinct shark that lived in the Eocene,

01:54in the Pliocene, between 58 and 1 million years ago.

02:06made it one of the largest predators of its time.
