00:04He's the best at his gig on the radio, everywhere.

00:08Everyone knows it.

00:09I got a couple of questions for you.

00:11First, we were just talking about the weather.

00:14Like, you know, you and I were from the same elk.

00:17I mean, you got freezing cold weather here.

00:20We got tons of snow.

00:21You get freezing cold weather, tons of snow.

00:24It doesn't matter if you don't have it right now.

00:26You know it's coming.

00:27But like the Packers play in Lambeau in sub-zero weather.

00:31When those games are there and you can't even,

00:33you know, you spit and it freezes on the way to the ground

00:36or you get the schnobber knuckle,

00:38that's an advantage for the Packers.

00:41People that live in Wisconsin are tougher.

00:44People that live in Minnesota are tougher.

00:46People that live in Buffalo and Pittsburgh are tougher.

00:50People that live in New York are, you know,

00:53narcissists and pigs, but they are tougher.

00:56I'll give you that.

00:58They're asshats, but they're tougher.

01:02I'm not afraid of cold weather.

01:06Like, how much of a pity do you have to be

01:10You and I go to the store in shorts.

01:12I'm wearing shorts right now.

01:15I was, it was 35 below the other day.

01:17I went to the gym and then I went to the grocery store

01:19afterwards wearing shorts.

01:20And, you know, a lot of people up here are kind of like that,

01:23but, you know, people look at you like

01:24you're a little bit crazy, but you got to embrace it, man.

01:26I go back to what you said about the Packers.

01:28Packers, I took video of it before the game

01:29when the Packers played the Dolphins here.

01:32Packers are coming out.

01:33Some guys with, you know, just shorts, no shirts on.

01:35And the Dolphins, they're all bundled up.

01:37Like, they're going to the Antarctic

01:39and they're going to live in an igloo for a couple of months.

01:41And it was a drast, it was like they got off the plane

01:44and went, okay, we got to get the hell out of here.

01:46We've got two and a half hours and we can start to fly back.

01:48So you could clearly tell they were already,

01:50already whooped before they even got the game going.

01:52Now you're, the last time you were on,

01:54your problem was the,

01:57finding an Airbnb in New Orleans

02:01that you could party in adequately for the Super Bowl.

02:05You were having issues and the prices were just outrageous.

02:10And the amount of availability was horrible.

02:13What has the story turned into as we're two weeks out?

02:18We, we got one, we're in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi.

02:21So we're right across the border, about 40 minutes away.

02:25And we got a house on the beach and we got it for a quarter

02:27of what everybody else was, you know, getting down there.

02:30And I don't mind driving, you know, 45 minutes,

02:31me in the car, I get to listen to stuff.

02:33So who cares?

02:34So we got that, but we're,

02:36we're still scrambling a little bit.

02:37There's been a big shift in the way the NFL does things

02:40in the media center.

02:41So we're kind of scrambling for some space right now,

02:43but we're ready to go.

02:45We're looking forward to it, man.

02:46It's always good to see you guys down there.

02:47So I can't wait.

02:48We leave a week from tomorrow.

02:50Yeah, well, I mean, so what's the problem

02:52at the, at the media center?

02:55What they, like where you're going to be located?

02:57Somebody read, somebody read two years ago

03:00that radio is dead and talk radio, sports talk radio is not,

03:05but they have allowed in all these podcasters.

03:07There was a guy that they allowed in that gave,

03:09they gave space to who has 2,100 followers for his podcast

03:13and knocked out a bunch of longtime 20 year vets,

03:16radio network people, because you've got people,

03:18you know this, it's not the same.

03:20We used to see all the people that worked

03:21in the NFL that were there.

03:23And now they're just kind of source it out to, you know,

03:25local people that really don't know.

03:28They don't, they don't know the heritage stations.

03:30They don't know the heritage because we are

03:31on seven different pod platforms and we do a TV show.

03:35And they're telling us, you know,

03:36we don't have enough of following.

03:37I'm like, I got almost 2 million that follow us

03:39on all the different platforms.

03:40And you've got a guy that's got 3,700 and he gets space.

03:43It's like, come on, man.

03:44So do you, like when you're there at some level,

03:49cause I've been to 30 in a row,

03:50don't you feel like you're surrounded by dorks?

03:54Yes.

03:54How many times have you been standing there

03:56and you'll hear somebody ask a question

03:58and you just want to mutter loud enough

04:00for them to hear it.

04:01You're an effing idiot.

04:02That's all I want to say.

04:03I just, you know, so I just kind of stare at him like,

04:06did you really just ask that?

04:07That's the dumbest ass thing I've ever seen anybody ask.

04:10It's true.

04:11So let's talk about the box.

04:16They look good.

04:17Giannis, Dame Time, everybody else.

04:20They've changed so much as a franchise since they won it.

04:25A lot of people think they're getting back

04:27to being potentially dangerous again.

04:31I think they are.

04:32I don't know.

04:33The one thing, the question here is whether or not

04:36they should make a trade.

04:37And right now the guys in the locker room are like, no,

04:39we're finally starting to really come together.

04:41The beginning of the season,

04:42Brooke Lopez was cold.

04:43Gary Trent Jr. was cold.

04:44Alan, Andre Jackson was cold.

04:46Tarion Prince was cold.

04:47The only guys that were scoring was Damian Lillard

04:50and Giannis, and you didn't have Chris Middleton back then.

04:52Since Middleton's come back,

04:54now he can't play full minutes

04:55and they've got him coming off of the bench,

04:56which is really not a bad thing

04:58because you've got a bonafide shooter coming off the bench.

05:00But guys started to heat up to what the back of their,

05:02you know, basketball card

05:03or what their normal stats should say.

05:05So they've heated back up.

05:06Giannis, knock on wood, he's healthy right now.

05:09And he's kind of saying, guys,

05:11we need to keep this rolling.

05:12We need to get better.

05:13Because you start to look at the five,

05:14the starting five that they have in Boston.

05:16And really, I still think that's the best team in the East.

05:19The starting five that they have in Boston,

05:20now that Christoph Sporzenegis is back,

05:22that's what you got to go up against.

05:23So they're just starting to gel,

05:25like you said, five in a row, but here's the test.

05:27They now have, I think it's seven out of their next eight

05:30or eight of the next nine on the road.

05:32So you got to win at least five out of these seven

05:36to be able to say, okay, we've really, really come together.

05:39If you do that, then I think a lot of people

05:40are going to jump back on the Bucs bandwagon.

05:42So Wisconsin has a big game on Sunday

05:47at the Cole up in Madtown against Nebraska.

05:51We talked to Jerry Palm today.

05:52Nebraska's fallen out of the tournament at this point

05:54that lost to USC, stung them.

05:57My Hoosiers suck.

05:58How are the Badgers holding up?

06:01They're doing well.

06:02The big thing, they picked up Tonje in the off season.

06:05He's a shooter.

06:05They've been looking for a bonafide shooter

06:07from the outside for some time now.

06:08They've had a lot of guys that could shoot,

06:10but nobody that was a pure shooter.

06:12So now they've got bigs on the inside.

06:14They got the ability to rebound.

06:15They've got all five of their starters

06:17are averaging 10 points or better,

06:18which you don't get that very often.

06:20So look, they finally got some shooters.

06:22They got some scores and they got some guys

06:24that can defend and play the board.

06:25So they've got a pretty good team.

06:28And we were excited about Wisconsin.

06:29We're excited about Marquette.

06:30Marquette's two in the top 10 as well,

06:32even though they lost to Xavier the other day.

06:34So got some good basketball here right now.

06:36I couldn't believe they lost to Xavier at the five serve.

06:39Are the Brewers doing nothing in the off season?

06:43You know what?

06:44It's like a lot of teams short of the Dodgers.

06:45I think they're just gonna wait

06:46till about the week of when camp opens

06:50and that's when they start making moves.

06:51All they want to do is drive down the price.

06:53That's all they're trying to do

06:54because they just keep saying,

06:55hey, we're small market.

06:56We can only afford so much.

06:57But they still look like they'd be a pretty good team

07:00in the Central.

07:01As a matter of fact, they're probably gonna be one and two

07:02with either the Cubs or the Reds

07:04I think took a step forward as well.

07:06But it's a heavy Paul up here right now

07:09after the loss of Bob Uecker too.
