Palestine: Hostage exchange expected on Saturday

00:00In Palestine, after the ceasefire, an exchange of hostages and the return of displaced civilians

00:05to their neighborhoods are expected.

00:12Today, Hebrew-Israeli sources provided details about the hostages-for-prisoners swap, which

00:22will be held on Saturday.

00:24Furthermore, they explained that what would be happening further, including the procedure

00:29that Gazans must follow to come back to northern Gaza.

00:32Firstly, media outlets informed that the Hamas movement must hand over the list of the four

00:37hostages who will be released next Saturday.

00:40We can say that three out of the four hostages are women soldiers, and just one is a civilian

00:46woman.

00:47They further ensured that after the delivery of this list, which is scheduled on Friday

00:54and Saturday, the hostages-for-prisoners swap will be carried out, in which the Hamas movement

01:01should release these four women.

01:03And in turn, the Israeli regime should release a figure of female Palestinian prisoners,

01:09but so far they haven't set the accurate number.

01:12However, by the time that the hostages-for-prisoners swap takes place, which is estimated to be

01:17held at 4 p.m., the Hamas movement must release these four hostages at the International Red

01:23Cross, and this one will be in charge of taking them to the border crossings, where the head

01:29of the Mossad, Shabbatat Shabit, as well as the representatives of the Israeli forces

01:34will pick them up, so they will take them to a care center to check that they are healthy,

01:40and later they will take them to their families.

01:43Right after completing such process, the Israeli regime should initiate a withdrawal from the

01:49Netzari checkpoint, which is freely set to split the north from the south of the Gaza Strip.

01:55And once the Israeli forces and all military mechanisms withdrew, then it would be allowed

02:01the return of Gazans to the northern area.

02:05Notwithstanding, on Saturday, by the time the four hostages be released, the Hamas movement

02:11is planning to hand over the list of the rest of hostages who will be released in this first phase,

02:17amounting to 33 hostages.

02:20Besides, Hamas will indicate those hostages remaining alive and those who passed away.

02:25The returning operation of Gazans to the northern Strip, we had already noticed that the comeback

02:31will occur after the withdrawal of the Israeli forces and the military mechanism in the Netzari area.

02:39For the return of Gazans to the north, there are two paths.

02:44One is the El Rashid Street, which is the coastal path where Gazans will be allowed

02:48to return by foot, with basic needs, for instance a backpack, and in that path Gazans won't be checked.

02:58We have to say that such path is open for the exit and return, that is, Gazans will

03:03be able to return from the north to the south, and from the south to the north.

03:10Nonetheless, the other path, which is the Salah al-Din Street, is made for vehicles,

03:15cars, and even those carried by animals such as donkeys or horses.

03:22However, that path will be checked with an x-ray device of an Egyptian cataract company,

03:28which will be the one checking those cars, vehicles that pass by that road.

03:34We have to highlight that it is only allowed the entrance from the south to the north,

03:40and not vice versa.

03:43That is, those Gazans driving cars or vehicles won't be allowed to return from the north

03:48to the south of the Gaza Strip, in a way that such process, in which the Salah al-Din Street

03:53could be open, that is, Gazans could go in and out, that process will take place after

04:002020, after 22 days of the humanitarian truce, two weeks after the return of Gazans to the

04:06north area.

04:07And that is what this really raging issue today, but we are still waiting for the official

04:11statement to be made by the Hamas movement, which will be issued late Friday or even on

04:16early Saturday, the day in which hostages will be released.
