Former Deputy Secretary of Defense for Europe and NATO, Jim Townsend, says President Donald Trump will again press NATO members to increase their defense spending in his second term.

00:00This second term, I think everyone is used to that, but still, Trump is unpredictable,

00:07so they're nervous about that.

00:09But I think they know a bit better now how to work with someone who comes at them from

00:14such a different angle.

00:16And of course, the main point that Trump makes is Europe's got to do more, got to spend more

00:21on their own defense.

00:23So that will be a message that's familiar.

00:25But with Putin on the march, there's an added need to be quick about it.

00:30And so you'll hear that from Trump as well.
