Bills Chiefs is a Quarterback LEGACY Game

Jeremy points out how important Sundays AFC title matchup is to defining Josh Allen's Legacy.

00:00It's kind of started to really crystallize for me and conversation has started to crystallize

00:05around Allen and his legacy because listen we've had a lot of fun and it's been really cool talking

00:13about everybody eats it's been really fun talking about how they can win games a lot of ways

00:17but the reality is when Sundays kick off when that ball hits the air these are legacy games for

00:24quarterbacks and our friend everybody's friend Nick Wright laid it out beautifully about what

00:31happens after this game which is if the Chiefs win Patrick Mahomes postseason record goes to 17 and

00:39three right okay and and two of those losses are to Brady in the Super Bowl in the AFC championship

00:46game yeah Mahomes goes to like 17 and three and Allen's about seven and six and his point is

00:53no one will ever be able to make the point that he's as good and that's not wrong you would know

01:01he's as talented he's as great but you would not be able to touch the same stratosphere

01:07and that is kind of unfair and I'm not setting the stage for if they lose he gets blamed for it

01:15but legacies are built in these moments Patrick Mahomes legacy is already firmly established why

01:22because of these these games he wins these games he's been to seven of them now after this one

01:27and Brady and Manning and all the all the information we have readily readily available

01:32the top of our minds like how many Super Bowls Drew Brees make you know one one we know what

01:36Peyton Manning did in Super Bowls we know Ben Roethlisberger did in Super Bowls yeah how'd

01:39Matt Ryan do oh and one we just know it yeah you just know it no matter how good he was what's the

01:44defining characteristic of Philip Rivers career never made one never made one yeah that's it

01:49Marino only only got to the one got there once lost he's the greatest quarterback of all time

01:55without a Super Bowl and if Allen doesn't get one he's he's the greatest of all time without one

02:00arguably I mean Marino was maybe ahead of his time whatever it's just I mean man it's intense

02:07well when you put it like that now I'm like sorry uh now I'm a little bit more amped up for it

02:13because of because of that like my confidence can only go so far when right the let that's

02:19all that's all totally totally true he lays that out and I think you jerk you're so right about

02:25that and it's it drives up the intensity yeah and they're of course going for immortality
