Principality Stadium confirm roof closure for Six Nations matches

Everyone’s favourite stadium the Principality will have its roof closed for the next two years of six nations matches after the protocol was changed by the tournament organisers. Now we just need to keep our fingers crossed that it’ll help the players on the pitch.

00:11of belief as it has been officially confirmed that the stadium roof will be closed for the

00:15next two years of Six Nations matches.

00:18It's always a debate over closing the roof, as it used to be the case that both teams

00:22have to agree to it, which away teams would usually decline as it seemed to benefit the

00:26hosts with the increased noise and atmosphere. Now the rule changed from the Six Nations

00:31that it is up to the home team who have confirmed it will be closed for the next two seasons.

00:38With such poor performances on the pitch in recent years, fans will be hoping that the

00:42closed roof could be at least something that could boost the players, and there will be

00:45at least a few home wins over the next few years.

00:49This year Wales host two home Six Nations matches against Ireland and England, with

00:54both games officially sold out. So, fingers crossed.
